He'd be well served to lower it to 5'10 1/2". There are plenty of good/great 5'10" corners. Here is the heights of the probowl players from this year:

I think 5'11" is the ideal height for a corner. It's short enough that they can have the change of direction and agility to play out in space yet tall enough to play the ball in the air. There aren't many guys over 6' who have the agility to play corner in the NFL. If you're waiting for those types only you're going to end up with a bunch of Will Blackmon's, Pat Lee's and Brandon Underwoods because they meet the requirement yet there are so few who are over 6' who can play they happen to end up sucking ass.

If Thompson can adjust that by 1/2" he'd open himself up to a lot of great players.
