Since we have a lot of young players, I expect the usual pattern of the 1st string playing 1 series would not apply for us. Obviously, Brett, Driver, Franks, Clifton and Tausher should go one and done.
The other potential 1st string players should at least go the whole 1st half. These guys all need experience.
Specific things I'm looking for is the amount of mistakes such as offsides, and false starts. I love the fact that Jag pulled a few lineman out that jumped early in practice. No excuse for not knowing the snap count. I wanna see the intensity level of our young guys.
Specific players that I will be watching are the obvious ones like Hawk and our O line rookies. However I'm even more interested in watching if the players who are being noticed in camp can carry it to the game. I hope Jennings is healthy enough to go cause he's the one I really want to watch. I gotta hunch we see Hodge blow up some poor RB in the hole at least once. The one player who stood out the most in the family game was Culver. I am curious to see him in a game. I also expect to find out if Rodgers is our future QB. He has had enough time to learn and it's time to produce.
While most discount the importance of pre-season, I believe ours is of the utmost importance. We need to see that MM is moving us in the right direction. We need to see the young talent show improvment from week to week. Most importantly, winning is an attitude and it all starts Saturday night.
