I have a few very close black friends and we've discussed these topics. What bothers me is that America can have a Miss Black America, but black women win Miss America all the time. What would happen if we had a Miss White America? There would be a riot. We can have the Negro scholarships and Indian scholarships and Asian scholarships...where's the White scholarships? That would just be terrible! Anytime something happens to a black athlete, which is what this topic is about, the race card is played. How many times do you hear a white guy speak out and say, "He's not a starter because he's white!" You don't! Then you have the Rooney Rule. That brings race back into the picture as well. If we're all going to be equal...quit playing the race card. That's just my opinion and I hope noone thinks any less of me.

After moving to Ohio, most of our service persons have been white and we've received much better service than the black people doing the same jobs provided near Milwaukee. I'm trying to determine if that's because they're better at their jobs than black people or if I've just been the victim of racism all these years and the black people have intentionally done a shitty job because I'm white.

I tip according to job performance and attitude. So far the white carpet cleaners/cable installers/movers/packers/handymen have earned every penny of their two dollar tips. It's like god sent a messenger today. A white guy came over to give an estimate on exterior painting today and spent half an hour re-caulking a second story window. When I asked how much I owed for his efforts, he just said, "don't worry about it." Then promised to come back later in the week to seal it better. White people are crazy nice.
