  • Our Line is going to be awesome....I mean they have to go against CMIII, Raji and the boys every practice!
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

He's not an elite athlete, that's for sure.

(Other than being a first round NFL pick, of course.)

[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

      • I think he is going to have a place on this team, and will most likely backup at both tackle spots for 2011, doesn't look like a guard to me. Athletic and can move. Sure he has to learn to protect in a pro style offense but it was a safe pic. Unfortunatley the Packers had no use for Bowers from Clemson. I seriously can't believe that 32 team passed on a guy because of torn cartilledge in the knee. Even if the guy missed 2011 he would still provide pass rushing and run defense from the 7 tech position for years. Best guy remaining.

Yea anything could happen that could cause Sherrod to start immediately. Ideally of course I'd like to see him backup for a year, but you never know..

agreed... 225 only 23 times??? ehhh idunno, thats kind of low for a man his size... I mean 225 isn't everything, but aren't o-line supposed to be in the 30's?

                • I am surprised Bowers is still around. That bone on bone knee issue would be enough of a red flag for some teams.

As for Dalton, I am a bit surprised he wasn't snagged by Seattle. Hasselbeck is going to be gone and he would be a good QB for them.

I thought Carimi was going to be gone by the time we picked.

Gruden was insufferable at times tonight. That guy has to get a coaching gig soon just get him off of ESPN.

                  • I'm in the best-5-on-the-field camp... someone can play LG assuming Cliffy still has it.

                      • Found this:

Was one of 16 players to win the storied National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) Award, which includes a post-graduate $18,000 scholarship. Earned his degree in business with a 3.54 GPA. Is the third Bulldog to win the award and the first since 1989. Team leader voted a captain in 2010. A four-year member of the M-Club, MSU's student-athlete community service organization, he has spent considerable time with the youth of Mississippi. He has served breakfast at Sudduth Elementary School, participated in Sudduth's Kids Fair and read to local students to promote literacy. He has also organized a Thanksgiving food drive.

                        TT pick all the way.

                        • yup....and we're good enough that we don't need to draft a guy in round one that needs to play...it's scary to say that though

dam...two years ago....Saints Super Bowl Champs.....next year.....after their two additions...gotta consider them a serious serious SB contender again

They're gonna have to figure out how to stop the pass, which Ingram doesn't help them with.

Going into this year's draft, they only had 5 picks next year. Hoodie'll probably pick up a few more yet.
