huh. this actually makes somes sense.Originally posted by 3irty1 View PostTrick question, Brad Jones will take over as a ILB cover specialist like Chillar was and will get some reps at OLB as well, but if AJ or Bishop were to get hurt I think DJ Smith steps in as the replacement, not necessarily Jones.

D.J. Smith's pad level is always low.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostI voted for Francois, but MM will probably decide he likes D.J. Smith's pad level."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. Yes, but with that short build, Christl can't tell if he is a waist bender or a knee bender.Originally posted by HarveyWallbangers View PostD.J. Smith's pad level is always low.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

The camp report on D.J. Smith is that he is undersized but slow. Smith is a practice squad eligible 6th rounder, it will be tempting to stash him if he shows promise.
I think if Harvey had said Weebs Weebalow was the man for the job, and we put Weebs on the list, he'd get 6 votes from the Wallbanger lemmings.
Francois might be a smart guess. I never liked the guy, but he has good size for ILB and game experience.Last edited by Harlan Huckleby; 08-04-2011, 09:43 AM.

D.J. Smith may be slow running a 40, but he was the most productive linebacker in college football history if I'm not mistaken. He reportedly has great football instincts and a knack for making plays, albeit at a smaller school. It remains to be seen whether he is Sam Mills reincarnate or something else, but he's a legit candidate to back-up inside and be a kamikaze on special teams I'd say.

What are his numbers compared to the Iowa MLB the Packers drafted a few years ago? He had the same resume and less than impressive numbers and went elsewhere. I wonder if Waldo can give us their workout numbers to compare.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Was that the concern about Desmond? I thought it was his head that most concerned people. Mostly I remember his aggressiveness.Originally posted by HarveyWallbangers View PostPeople said Desmond Bishop was slow also.

Walden makes a great backup, but I hope that we don't need to see much of him as a starter this year. I think he has a lot of upside and is coachable. All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.

I wonder if Waldo can give us their workout numbers to compare. No longer the member of any fan clubs. I'm tired of jinxing players out of the league and into obscurity.

Not in a while, but word often leaks back to him as spies from Football's Future Message Board and Patchouli Emporium often spend time here to steal thread idea. Mad hasn't been able to curse them all away yet.Originally posted by Smidgeon View PostIs Waldo even posting here anymore?
