Decent chance he's a practice squad target. He mades some plays on speacial teams and if they cut Johnson, there's value in keeping him around.
Edit: I see the agent made it a point to let the reporter know that they've asked him to stick around because he might be a practice squad target. I guess it makes sense to read the article before posting. Fucking agents.Comment

Quinn Johnson can't block on the move (ST's, stretch runs or zone runs.) He just misses his target. It's not like the would be tacklers run straight into him so he doesn't have to change his path.
Quinn Johnson can't catch. Sure he's done it a couple times, but he seems about a 50/50 bet to actually make the catch. He can't run.
Quinn Johnson can't play coverage on ST's. I say this because he doesn't
