How the hell wasn't Shaky Smithson the first one cut?

He probably was, it's just that none of the beat guys bothered to contact Smithson's agent figuring it was fait accompli.

None of this news is coming from the Packers, it's all just Agents talking to the media.

The Packers always release a press release about this an hour or two after the deadline. They don't bother to leak stuff to the media, but if a player or his agent wants to that's their business. I think the Packer front office (rightly) figures that "some guy losing his job" is not something to crow about.

They're twin brothers, I think we signed them as a combo package as UDFAs.

Potentially even odder, the Joseph Brothers' given names are: Elijah and Elisha, which are pronounced more or less the same unless you're being really careful and enunciating the last syllable deliberately.
