    • Just got this via Footballoutsiders and had to share
"The former Lions coach Steve Mariucci believes that someone besides the current coach Jim Schwartz should be assigned to discipline Ndamukong Suh, who is suspended for this game after treating a Packers lineman like a cigarette butt on Thanksgiving. Who is up to such a challenge? Supernanny? Sister Mary Stigmata from “The Blues Brothers”? If last month’s heart-to-heart talk with Roger Goodell had no impact on Suh, it may be time for the “Clockwork Orange” treatment: in the event of a late hit, simply play “Ode to Joy” over the loudspeakers and watch Suh curl into the fetal position." LOL

        • He got into a car accident last night. Lost control, stomped a curb, lightpost, tree and fountain!

          Nice to see he's behaving.

I saw some claims (from Lions fans, of course) that EDS swiped at his knees, tried to injure him, etc. Did anyone see anything that showed EDS doing anything untowards? Anything that might have made him lose his cool?

Not an excuse, and even if Smith did, Suh should apologize for going over the line, I'm just curious what set him off. If it was just getting beat, and some run of the mill holding, we're definitely going to see this out of him again.
Just watched the 1st and goal series on rewind. On 1st down Smith had a good high block. There was a motion penalty on GB and on the replay down, Smith completely missed on a low block. 2nd down Wells doubled him but both blocks were high and legal. Then the 3rd down play with nothing remotely illegal by Smith.

So it seems the Detroit fans are just blowing smoke out their collective asses, as usual. Suh got owned by Smith and he didn't take it very well.

It was one o'clock in the morning and the police report said he wasn't impaired. Terrible driver, goofing around or was he asleep?

                • He was trying to avoid the tree and in the process hit the fountain... and the tree.

In his statement to the police, Suh said the tree was holding his car and he accidentally hit it while trying to get back on the road...

You need a Twitter account. I'd follow that.

                            • After initial reports that he lost control, no one was hurt, etc (while swerving around a stopped taxi cab???) more reports are coming out...no surprise.

One woman is claiming she had to go to the hospital, and he wouldn't take her, so she called her husband picked her up to take her. So many things here don't pass the sniff test my dog just sneezed! Here's a copy of a police statement

I think this is still football related, but it's losing steam!

                              • Police report: Suh passenger fears retaliation

                                Posted on: December 5, 2011 9:59 pm

The car accident involving Ndamukong Suh has taken an interesting turn as a passenger in the vehicle says she fears retaliation from what she said were Suh family and friends for claiming the circumstances that caused the accident were contrary to what the Detroit player claimed.

In an amended incident report from Portland police one of the passengers in the car, an unindentified woman, asked that police remove her name from all the reports out of fear of retaliation. A copy of the report was obtained tonight by CBSSports.com.

The woman's name is blacked out in the report but in interviews with officers the woman contradicts what Suh told police about the accident and in a statement at the end of the report she pleads that her name not be released to the public.

"(Name redacted) requested that her name remain confidential," the officer writes in the report, "because she fears for her safety. (Name redacted) said that Suh has a lot of friends and family and fears retaliation. She requested her name not be included in a future press release."

Portland police say there is no evidence that a crime was committed and they don't plan to file any charges.

The woman goes into extensive detail about the accident and claims the reason the accident happened was because of Suh's unsafe driving. Suh told police the accident happened because he had to make an extreme maneuver to avoid colliding with a taxi.

It's highly unlikely we've heard the last of this.
                                Thanks Ted!
