I could see Sherman back in the NFL as an OC or OL coach. He's just not the guy you want making the crucial decisions when the game is on the line.

Or maybe he'll join the NFL Network and work with his buddy Warren Sapp.

    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up

They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

Seems as though the whole team is behind them, and do not like the firing

John Michaels and Bret Conway were Ron Wolf picks, not Sherman...and Jamal Reynolds was Ron wolfs last draft.

Every team has draft busts. Sherman did okay as HC, boring as heck, but as evidenced by the A&M players' reactions, he was respected. And HE DID stand up to Sapp on his, to quote Shermy, "Chicken Shit" cheap shot block on Chad Clifton. Screw the media, Clifton's seriously hurt and Sherman stood up for his player, not at a podium, but on the field to the offending player.

I'll take boring, solid people like the Shermans over "Toe-Sucker" Sexy Rexy Ryan and his wife showing her mommy holes for the whole Internet to see. Yeah, really classy people.

That said, Sherman as GM and HC was too much for him and the team would have been better served if someone else had handled the GM position.

And instead of being an insecure MF why don't you grow a pair. The search function works nothing like it use to. If it did I would have already bumped a handful of Sherman gems.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

? Yes, that's true. All three were very bad moves by Ron Wolf.

Not to ease up on Sleepy too much, but you wonder how much input Mark Hatley had on personnel decisions.....

I respect a lot of people, but also recognize that there are two types of leadership. One is steady as she goes as we already are doing well, the other tweaks and demands more. In some cases the first is great and necessary but does not work in football. Sherman was handed a Corvette and drove it well, but made the mistake of putting in regular gas when refilling instead of premium. That is regarding his coaching.

As a GM Sherman is like my 3 1/2 yr old boy in Toys R' Us. He saw something he thought he liked and had to have it, even if it makes no sense. His punter and CB's still give me nightmares. And now I am mad at you for making me thnk about them again. GRRRR

Wolf and Bob Harlan have to cop some of the blame for Shermy as GM. Wolf wanted to stick it to Holmgren, so he gave the recco to Harlan for Sherm to be the GM. That was the worst move of Wolf's pro career and it stuck it to the Pack, for one man's vindictive move. There's more to it than just that, but the whole deal never should have happened.

There was no reason Sherman should have been a GM and boy, he wasn't a very good one. He was such a micormanager, there was now way he could have been successful. There were many low points for Sherm the GM, but one of 'em was when he banned the scouts from a draft meeting.

When Shermy had two punters on the roster bc he wasted a high pick on one of 'em, that was it for me. Harlan should have sprinted down to Sherm's office and made the change right then and there.

He traded up to grab that punter which makes it even worse.

This is exactly why I mentioned the 3 1/2 yr old boy reference, he could not handle someone questioning his choices and he had to have them once he made up his mind.

I think Rand was saying Wolf had a couple of other mistakes to choose from if you were going to rank them. Nominating Sherman to be dual GM-coach might not be #2.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
