If he is traditional, I am pretty sure its separate bedrooms. But perhaps he belongs to a Bretsky offshoot branch?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

There was no reason Sherman should have been a GM and boy, he wasn't a very good one. He was such a micormanager, there was now way he could have been successful. There were many low points for Sherm the GM, but one of 'em was when he banned the scouts from a draft meeting.

When Shermy had two punters on the roster bc he wasted a high pick on one of 'em, that was it for me. Harlan should have sprinted down to Sherm's office and made the change right then and there.
As far as decisions that harmed the team, long term, Sherman the GM was IMO the one.

I never understood why it was done. They didn't give it to Holmgren for a reason, then turned around and handed it to Sherman, who had a lot less experience, a couple of years later??? I guess vindictiveness could have been it. I hope not, but we've all witnessed what an ego combined with some spite can do.

The fallout was that two franchises suffered. Seattle had some up times, but mostly down with Holmgren at the helm, and Sherman wasted some years in which Favre could have dominated. I don't think it could be prevented, but I always thought that if Holmgren had stayed, we might have more hardware today.

Hardly. His buyout will be about $5.8 million.

There was a story on Day 2 that Sherman's new contract from last year was still being haggled over this season. It had gotten to the lawyers and only very recently landed on the desk of the athletic director or president and was unsigned. So while his buyout for one year was quite reasonable, it would have nearly doubled in the new contract.

There was another coach's contract story recently where he never got around to signing the contract before being asked to leave. I wonder how long is normal for contracts to be combed through before final signatures are applied.
