Brockers dropping to 27? Can't see it. Too lazy to look back, but I think I took him at 15 for the Eagles the first pass through!Last edited by Guiness; 03-25-2012, 11:03 PM.--

Yes now I just have been checking this out....' in my spare time'. Maybe I'm not up to date RE: Draft stuff too much into all the rest that's really happening! Maybe my Mock Draft needs refreshnin'.
It sure seems to me that Mr. Devon Still will be off the board when the Packers are on the clock at #28. Nice to dream though. Nothing wrong with dreamin'.
I'll recheck my Mock Draft. I'd love that fella in thyue trenches. Heavy duty!!Last edited by woodbuck27; 03-28-2012, 05:15 AM.** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

While we're all fussing over whom the Packers pick at #28, Ted is in a darkened film room in the bowels of 1265 Lambeau, staring at a screen showing a simple running play, angling for that fullback from Western North Dakota Tech, who might, just might, be available when Ted picks at the tail end of the seventh round..."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

The best recent story of Thompson is that he left the League meeting a day early and wouldn't tell the reporters which Pro Day he was going to watch. Later that same day there was debate about whether the Packers were at the Central Florida Pro Day or not. Packer scouts are like UFO sightings. You have a vague sense they were there, but no hard evidence.Originally posted by Fritz View PostWhile we're all fussing over whom the Packers pick at #28, Ted is in a darkened film room in the bowels of 1265 Lambeau, staring at a screen showing a simple running play, angling for that fullback from Western North Dakota Tech, who might, just might, be available when Ted picks at the tail end of the seventh round...Last edited by pbmax; 03-28-2012, 11:54 AM.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Compare this to the Bengals and their two recent scout hires, which I think tripled the size of the scouting department!
I assume the GM there picks up a copy of the same draft day magazine we all do???--

When my buddy worked for the Packers scouting department back in 2004-2006, he used to tell me he would be at a pro day, and get a call telling him his next flight is ready and he had to be at another pro day or personal visit later in that day almost daily. He said he alone visited like 150 cities from the super bowl through the day before the draft. His job was as an assistant to a regional scout. I think I remembered him saying each scout had like 5-6 "other" scouts to all do work together, and the packers had like 6 regional scouts who then all reported to the head of scouting, all together he said there was like 30-40 guys working within the organization on just college level scouting.
This was the same guy who told me he pleaded with Sherman that Ahmad Carroll was going to be a huge mistake and should stay away from him."I would love to have a guy that always gets the key hit, a pitcher that always makes his best pitch and a manager that can always make the right decision. The problem is getting him to put down his beer and come out of the stands and do those things." - Danny Murraugh

If your buddy was the one that blabbed to McGinn about Sherman shutting out the scouts of the draft eval process and listening only to his own head and other coaches, I would like you to buy him a drink from me.Originally posted by ND72 View PostWhen my buddy worked for the Packers scouting department back in 2004-2006, he used to tell me he would be at a pro day, and get a call telling him his next flight is ready and he had to be at another pro day or personal visit later in that day almost daily.
