  • Non-PackerRat Mock Draft Central

For all the mock drafts that we will forget about 25 hours after the first round.

But for now, the replacement at Pro Football Weekly for the dearly departed shut in Joel Buschbaum, Nolan Nawrocki has the Packers taking Andre Branch at 28.

I just noticed the Patriots sitting at 27 ahead of the Pack with New Orleans pick. Odds on Ted wanting to get in front of them?

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

As always, I mock your draft.

I love Andre Branch at #28. If we can't get Upshaw or Ingram, Branch is who I want at OLB.

I know you like Illinios' Mercilus because he was originally mocked in the 3rd but after talking to reporters he has been mocked to the 1st.

And if his nickname isn't Ming the, then I hold the entire Chambana population at fault.

Branch and Mercilus are two I like if we stay at 28.

Kirwan has Packers taking Kendall Reyes, a pick I've been hearing a lot lately. Hasn't been as well known as some because he played for UConn, but had a great Senior Bowl and Combine.

Dont'a Hightower drafted 11th? Ahead of Luke Kuechly? Dre Kirkpatrick dropping all the way to 32? This guy must've been hammered when he did this mock.
              Thanks Ted!

Nawrocki has a prety good reputation. Better than most draftniks, certainly better than Kiper or McShay. Mainly that covers the actually watching and digesting of game film. Predicting what lunatics like Dan Snyder or Mike Brown will actually do is more the realm of mystics and soothsayers to be honest.

The only other person I am aware of with a better rep for evaluating is Mayock. Speaking of which ...

Oh well. Mayock hasn't released one yet. But here is the link to the other talking heads at Jeremy Shockey's favorite network:

The official source for NFL news, video highlights, fantasy football, game-day coverage, schedules, stats, scores and more.

Its mostly old data. 2 have Peter Konz going to the Packers and the other is Branch. Baldinger does not believe more than 10 players are worthy of being drafted, apparently.

NFL Draft Scout at CBS has one vote for Branch (Rob Rang) the other vote for Reyes (Dane Brugler), each is dated the 26th of March.

I have to check the freshness of the information this post is based on. In any case here goes:

DE Andre Branch, Clemson? ** Goes in the Second round at #42

NOT too shabby with Whitney Mercilus (but**):

Analysis and predictions for 2012 NFL draft prospect, DE Whitney Mercilus of Illinois

** NOTE: Center Peter Konz is moving up Mock Draft boards. I saw one with him going to Tennessee at #20. Sadly Mr. Mercilus a hybride DE/LB went at #22 to the Browns. DT Jerel Worthy went #24 (Pittsburg); DT Michael Brockers went to Denver @ #25; Devon Still, DE/DT, Penn State went @ #27 to new England and that makes him close in the Packerrats Mock.

In this Mock we get a fella I like in Nick Perry, DE/OLB, USC. In alot of Mocks I see Nick perry on the rise. We have some fun with this stuff as we love football; but we all know that until Ted Thompson and the Green Bay Packers are announced as being on the clock at #28 after the NE Pat's pick 'only' one man will be deciding onn that pick. The thing I see about TT is he seems to be in control of his emotions and I'll bet if you got to known him he's a bag of nerves.

I grew up with a fella and played competitive sports with him alot; and his favourite saying before a big anything in sports was "I'm so excited I'm shittin' my pants".

I can't never see Ted no matter what his nerves are crying for... shittin' his pants.
                      ** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

** If God doesn't fish, play poker or pull for " the Packers ", exactly what does HE do with his buds?

If Kirkpatrick is there when the Pack picks, I would have a tough time with TT passing on him. Many people see him as the 2nd or 3rd DB behind Jenkins.

I dont think it will be a problem as I really dont see him falling that far.

Kirwan knows his stuff and he has Kirkpatrick going 7th. Jenkins is the CB most likely to slide because of some significant off-field issues.

Honestly, I never heard of him, but I can understand why he likes Dont'a Hightower though, I do too, just not at #11. Even Kiper and McShay only actually get a few correct.
