Agree; just think if he'd have drafted Jamall Sheard and then Justin Houston last yr.....or Sheard/DeMarco/Sam Acho last year...it's fun to second guess though
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

If PB undervalues him they could almost be clones!Originally posted by smuggler View PostFor those who are skeptical of the Daniels pick, Cullen Jenkins was undrafted in 2003 for the same concerns. The exact same concerns. All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.

I agree. He looks athletic though. Sometimes, kids are nervous and don't run well at the combine. 4.56 was actually good for a safety. Ranked near the top. The fastest safety ran 4.50 at the combine.Originally posted by Brandon494 View PostI don't trust pro day numbers, he ran a 4.56 at the combine but had a 36.5 vertical which was top 5 for safeties in this draft."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

had to be...i guess we interpreted it differently. all the other player interviews left me with a positive feeling...this one left me...meh. like i said, it's got nothing to do with his playing ability. i hope he's rookie of the year.Originally posted by Guiness View Post??
were we listening to the same thing?

Ummm... at last year's draft we had the 2nd ranked defense and the 9th ranked offense. The point being that our defense looked in better shape than our offense at this time last year. Hindsight is 20/20 and it's easy to play couch GM.Originally posted by Upnorth View PostNot to be a stickler, but two years ago...Originally posted by HarveyWallbangersLast year, we had the 2nd ranked defense and the 9th ranked offense.

I think I understand the Daniels pick now.
It's exactly the same thing as when the Lions took Ronnell Lewis. The Lions are a 4-3 team, and Lewis is small and stupid. So he's not going to play SLB, and he's too small to really hold up on the DL full time.
But what you can do with a 240 lb DE in a 4-3 or a 290 lb DL in a 3-4, is put that guy in for packages and get after the QB. So if you're comfortable with a 4-3 team taking an undersized outside pass rusher in the fourth, you can be okay with a 3-4 team taking an undersized inside pass rusher in the fourth.
I am entirely at peace.</delurk>

I agreed with your point, I was talking seasons, you ment the draft. I misunderstood the time frame you were using.Originally posted by HarveyWallbangers View PostUmmm... at last year's draft we had the 2nd ranked defense and the 9th ranked offense.
