Packers Cut Cundiff

Rayner is mostly an unknown quantity. Cundiff has been around long enough to have a feel for what he is They must feel Rayner's potential exceeds what Cundiff is right now.

To really give Rayner a good evaluation, this was best. Dump all the pressure squarely on him and let him kick for three preseason game. If he doesn't cut it in those three games, Cundiff, Edinger or someone else will be here very quickly.

I like this move, doing it early.

Dave Rayner got a shot due to potential. Jon Ryan will get the job on potential AND by just being better than BJ. If BJ stays; I will be baffled. As for my man RUVELL MARTIN, well, he could get cut but that would be unfair. McCarthy want big targets and Ruvell is that and more. Boerighter has shown nothing. Even Gardner should feel jumpy. Ferguson will stay on potential...will this be the year? On the latter; I think not but I'd welcome it.
3 best WRs on Packers roster just might be: Driver, Jennings & Ruvell Martin with Ferguson 4th. Ruvell will have to make the jump though; he's got a shot.

Heard on the radio (Mike Clements sp?) this morning that Cundiff and the ST coach had some words (and poor attitude) during yesterdays practice and that sealed the deal along with Rayners play.
