Borel and Gurly - Packers are a class act. Release them early so teams still making cuts can adjust their rosters and try to pick them up. I bet they won't make it far up the waiver list.

Some teams are known for cutting player late. Thereby making it more difficult for other teams to plan and pick him up.

I think we didn't play base much last season because our DL play was so poor.

I think the next 3 are SO'oto, Ross, and Sherrod to PUP.

That was when we didn't have the depth we do now. I think we have cut some NFL borderline starters. I don't think there will be many teams out there that are deeply talented enough, that their cast-offs would be that attractive to us.

We're never going to get the guys you claim of waivers. We're at the end of that list. Veterans though, guys who are near the end of their career, maybe got cut because a team is rebuilding, overpaid, didn't fit new system, etc. . . . Several of those guys might want to be in GB. Could even end up with a starter if the right guy gets cut.
