  • Annoyed that the Pack put So'oto on the IR.

    • WR is such a strange situation. Jennings contract is up after this year. Driver is at an age where very few players can play beyond. Jones has two years left on his deal and hasn't been a very reliable target for AR.

Nelson and Cobb are the only two guys that

      A. Have contracts beyond this year (Rules Jennings out)
      and
      B. Are guys we really like (Rules Jones out)
      and
      C. Are not 37 years old (Rules Driver out)

I'm such a big fan of how Boykin plays. He reminds me a little of Jordy, maybe without the long speed. At some point, soon, we're not going to have as many WR's as we have now. Nobody wants to say it, but the Packers aren't exactly swimming in cap space any more. Tough decisions are going to have to be made. We need young, lower priced players who perform in order to keep the stars we're going to have to pay very shortly. Boykin has a lot of talent. He could be that next waive of receiver after Jones/Driver move on.

One might go tomorrow if we get an OL or two that we like. Ross is the shocker. Maybe they are keeping him to deal with San Francisco's spread offense

Yes. But I think they must not have been ready to give up on him while at the same time having nowhere to put him. Expendable but with a future?

            • Was that a phantom injury? I thought he was one of the LB's who made some nice catches in practice while lining up at TE. Could be be the next Frankenbacker?

              • So there will be a cut after week one, a cut after week four, and a few cuts after PUP guys return. Of course they could just be placed on IR if they like the guy and he has a hangnail or something.

He's always right on his man, he just never does much to keep his man from catching passes. Sort of like Jarrett Bush, you know he'll never be a starter, but the fact that he doesn't get roasted is nice.

Maybe he's a candidate to come back off IR sometime down the line this season?

McGinn didn't see So'oto get injured either.

I believe that he used the pronoun "we" in his tweet. Whether he was using the majestic plural or he was referring to other JS writers in addition to himself is unclear.

                            Exactly. Fits Capers scheme nicely.

Only if BR thinks he has SS type skills.

IMO CP tried to replicate Collins skills and failed miserably. CP was okay when he played to his abilities.
