I know. I was kidding. Boy did Sam get the shaft last night.Originally posted by Little Whiskey View Postafter being shoved in the back.
That was actually a huge part of the play. When Shields got pushed, he got pushed into Jarrett Bush's legs, making it difficult for Bush to make a play. Bush was actually in great position to get the ball.I can't run no more

I have heard the argument that replay cannot determine possession; however, almost once a game, replay determines whether or not a WR maintains possession during the act of the catch (i.e., to the ground). Clearly Tate did not maintain possession. This is what replay was introduced to prevent. Cluster f** of screw ups.

The NFL hasn't taken anyones 1st amendment rights away. The 1st amendment lets you have free speech it doesn't say that there are no repercussions for your speech.Originally posted by jmbarnes101 View PostThe Green Bay Packers pay his check, not the NFL, and the NFL just screwed them. He has every right to be pissed off and I'm pretty sure 1st amendment rights allow him to say anything he darn well pleases on his twitter account. I'm just surprised no one has sued the NFL in court over the blatant violation of 1st amendment rights.
The players are saying exactly what they want. But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Article 3. Completed or Intercepted Pass.
"If the player loses the ball while simultaneously touching both feet or any part of his body other than his hands to the ground, or if there is any doubt that the acts were simultaneous, it is not a catch."

He never had it. His right arm was on Jenning's right arm. He MOVED his arm off Jennings and to the ball AFTER Jennings was already on the ground. There was no point, before Jennings was on the ground where Tate had the ball. Maybe there was a point after he move his arm off Jennings that he got one hand actually to touch the ball, before Jennings was down.*Originally posted by sharpe1027 View PostHe lost the ball.
*all that is pointless - we know Jennings intercepted the ball - everyone knows it. The game is a fraud."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck

Player Going to the Ground. If a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with orOriginally posted by ThunderDan View PostBut the ball never hit the ground.
without contact by an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball throughout the process of contacting
the ground, whether in the field of play or the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches
the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching
the ground, the pass is complete.
The rule leaves an ambiguous area where the ball never hits the ground and there is no clear possession. However, a similar situation happens when a WR goes out of bounds and bobbles the ball before he gains full control. In that case, it is reviewable. The difference is that instead of out of bounds, it is into Jennings hands. If a WR bobbles the ball into the air and a DB grabs it out of the air, it is an INT and would be reviewable for the same. This is virtually the same thing. I see no meaningful difference.Last edited by sharpe1027; 09-25-2012, 11:12 AM.

No doubt. But the if we assume the replay official must stick with the official's call in the field that he did have possession at some point, they can still review whether or not he maintained possession going to the ground. They do it all the time.Originally posted by mraynrand View PostHe never had it. His right arm was on Jenning's right arm. Of course. He never had possession. It should have been called correctly or reversed.*
