Happened with 244 left in game. After we went up by 14.

*Packers coaches were in a staff meeting this morning when they received Woodson news. Not as significant as Super Bowl injury, but had X-ray this morning. Happened on same collarbone." - GPG.com

Sure, but he's supposed to break that thing in the Super Bowl.

Gibson makes catch on right sideline with 2:44 left in the game. Woodson clearly grabs shoulder, writhes on ground. Screen capture shortly.

              Play with screen cap.

Who else got hurt in that game? Should Finley be more worried? Was it Shields who got hurt, went back in and then came back out?

I would wrap Shields, Hayward and House in bubble wrap.

I think Hayward can probably fill in pretty well for Woodson if Shields is back to play corner. Or House may see more time at corner.

I think he's a lot more valuable from a leadership perspective than an on-field play perspective. Sort of like Ray Lewis with the Ravens. I wouldn't be surprised if the defense actually plays better in some areas with House/Hayward/McMillan.

The role that Capers carved out for Woodson in the defense will probably be eliminated in the short term, I always saw that as more a "putting your players in the best postiion" than a key wrinkle without which the defense can't function.

Good thing they didn't make the move to 18 games...or we'd be out there playing for the Packers.

Then JH can start a new thread: "Packers better off without Woodson?".

Sooner or later, one way or another, there is a changing of the guard. There is no looking back.

Well....the Arizona D is pretty tough...but the O still should be up to the task. They need to keep this thing rolling until the D heals up. When is Jennings due back?
