My observations of the blow out win again by the GIANTS over our Packers.
NY GIANTS 38 - Green Bay PACKERS 10. The 28-point beating the Packers endured on Sunday night Nov. 25, 2012, was the team’s worst loss since ARod's time as our starter. Did Aaron Rodgers have any real chance for a win last night? Sure our offense was able to sustain us over the course of serios long term injuries to key defensive players but that only goes on for so long. Last night...the gig was up.
Four of our most important players, including three defensive starters are out. Greg Jennings is recovering from groin surgery and missed his seventh straight game. Safety Charles Woodson has a broken collarbone and was inactive for the fourth consecutive game. CB Sam Shields has been battling a lingering leg injury and missed his fifth consecutive game. Clay Matthews, the Packers’ best pass rusher, missed a second straight week with a hamstring injury. Our team is hurting badly with the numerous injuries and as Packer fans that has to be heavily weighed in terms of Packers Vs strong teams. All the injuries has to naturally take it's toll.
Here's the Packer injury Report:
In a Packer Vs GIANTS game I look at the Head Coach's. Did MM have our team 'under prepared' for that game? Maybe the team wasn't set mentally to play a tough opponent that had to win that game last night? All week I felt it was a tough call as to who would win this matchup. The GIANTS own us of late in big games. In those games. Really, who is the superior coach? Mike McCarthy or Tom Coughlan? Observing both on the sidelines. Which coach do you like?
MM decisions. That call to try to get Mason Crosby's confidence back by asking him to kick a FG beyond mid field. IMO that wasn't the best decision but I don't know where Mason Crosby's head is in such decisions. I don't know what he and MM have decided to do, to go RE: giving his confidence back.
Personally I wouldn't ask Mason Crosby try such a long FG.
So looking at our team overall and hopefully, short term problems. It's obvious that we are again struggling with pass defense. We're missing Charles Woodson at safety and Clay Matthews limits our pass rush in a league that needs one big time.
Long term. Our OL is horrid. It's now given up a NFL high 37 QB sacks. That's unlikely to get fixed in a hurry. We need to get Greg Jennings back to give Aaron Rodgers more opportunity to see a talented WR open. We need to see MM open up our offense to see the ball spread around. Where did that go? I read the bitch on J. Finley at TE and are you understanding his role this season?
I'm an NFL fan and a Packer fan. I realize that the margin of winning can be small. I see more parity as a factor this season in terms of outcomes. If yopu really expected your Packers to go into New York and defeat the GIANTS who were rested and more health now. Your IMO certainly an optimistic Packer fan. I felt that the GIANTS had to win that game last night and too much was in place to ensure that result.
Today our team is 7-4 or the best record amongst curent Wild Card teams and the remaining schedule is dominated with NFCN games. We have to get healthy for a real chance.
GO PACKERS !
