Yea something seems wrong with his arm.

How can that actually be the case and him being signed by the Packers??

If this were a band, Flynn would be the new lead guitarist.

I like Tolzien as a development guy. Was even rooting for his success. Maybe give him an off-season and a year as 3rd string to show competence. But in the NFL you can't get by on talent alone. He looked like a baseball pitcher throwing the football. I too think MM should have been able to see that Flynn gave them the best chance to win before the team was down 3 scores.

Sometimes it seems that MM trusts his process too much and it takes away from making obvious important football decisions.

          Or RE: MM:

Isn't he a tad slow 'generally' in terms of being on the ball and making needed adjustments?

Before I go on I'll admit that somehow I just can't get to being a huge fan of MM's. I would never associate Mike McCarthy with the word 'Fox'.

It really bugs me to see his mug in behind that play sheet (book) so much. If he would lower that from his face, maybe he could see more.

The other thing is why does MM always seem so alone on the sidelines? Shouldn't he be in communication with his team of coach's more during games? Asking his coach's what their seeing and what they feel needs to be adjusted 'in game'?

What the HELL is really going on in Green Bay? Look at the NO Saints sideline the next time you get a chance. Is the Saints DC visable on their sideline? Compare the Packers in game sideline and activity Re: other top NFL teams.

Do you see solid communication between the HC and his coaching staff during games on the Packer sideline? Can Mike McCarthy do two things at once? Call a game and generally communicate in the manner that many solid or top HC's do.

I'm so sick of what's happening now being shoved onto the loss of Aaron Rodgers to injury. Somehow it's on the GM and HC and his staff to cope. Going now, four straight games without a win is inexcusable.

I like Tolzien. he looks like a good project and shows some promise. Keep him around.

But Flynn as I've said since he was cut by Oakland should be here as the backup. He gives the team the best chance to win even over that crappy Wallace. If we had Flynn we beat the bears. He knows the offense and the most of the WR we have. His arm isn't a cannon but he gets the ball where it's needed and on time. You can win with Flynn and even some playoff games if needed in this system.

TT spit the bit by not grabbing him when he was free the first time.

                QB Matt Flynn Time Line

                Comment woodbuck27:

According to the media.... it's MM that veto'd bringing in Matt Flynn as a backup when he was made available by the Oakland Raiders.

                RE: QB Matt Flynn

The Oakland Raiders Release QB Matt Flynn

                ESPN.com ... Oct 7, 2013 - 2:21 PM

" It's a stunning admission of defeat from out-of-his-depth GM Reggie McKenzie, but hardly surprising considering coach Dennis Allen's barely-concealed disdain for his would-be starting quarterback. Flynn had tumbled behind Matt McGloin — a painful to watch quarterback in college — on the depth chart, and was embarrassingly inept in his Week 4 spot start against the Redskins. The fact that he's bringing home a guaranteed $6.5 million this season is one of the most embarrassing GM gaffes in recent memory. Between his money wasted in Flynn and fourth-round misfire on Tyler Wilson, McKenzie has proven he has no idea what he's doing with quarterbacks. Barely a No. 2 level talent, it's possible Flynn will latch back on with the Packers, who lack a viable backup behind Aaron Rodgers. "

                The following day:

Coach Mike McCarthy suggested the Packers are not interested in free agent QB Matt Flynn.

                ESPN.com ... Oct 8, 2013 - 8:11 AM

" The Packers have had Graham Harrell, Vince Young, B.J. Coleman and now Seneca Wallace as Aaron Rodgers' backup. That's the role Flynn played from 2008-2011.

"Personally, I'm very happy with the quarterback room, the way it looks, the people in it," McCarthy said.

"I do like Seneca Wallace. I like what he's done since he's been here." Packer HC Mike McCarthy

It's yet another slap in the face to Flynn, whose cheeks are getting awfully red at this point. "

Darned right I am. Doesn't mean the first 2/3s of the game weren't dreadful, or that they didn't blow a chance to win it in the first drive in regulation. But to come back from 23-7 down in the fourth quarter to tie it? Yeah, that's pretty darned good no matter who you're playing.
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

The important question now, does Flynn get credit for a 4th quarter comeback?

In the moment, it was exciting. There are no moral victories. At the end of the day, we tied a team at home vying for the worst record in the league.

I dunno - I got a funny feeling that the half game is going to be just enough for the Pack to win the NFC North.

What is not up for argument is the fact that we are not getting results with either the personnel and the coaching staff, and something needs to change, and will likely be parts of the coaching staff if they don't get their act together.

Aaron Rodgers does not play defense.
I would argue that talent and scheme are sound, but we do not practice/teach as aggressively as we need to. It goes back to the crap like not practicing outdoors because its too cold, then having a punter muff two snaps because he isn't used to catching the ball in the cold.

There are just so many issues with this team and it's obvious having a player like Rodgers hid those issues. Getting our asses kicked the past 4 weeks might benefit this team in the long run, ie heads might roll.
QB is the central player in the game. Losing a Rodgers is huge, and not having a ready game manager (unless seneca was, we never got to see) makes it worse. The D looks much better when it isn't forced on the field after 3 and outs. We also have had way too many injuries and chemistry is suffering.

Could be. One thing is for sure. We can stop worrying about tie-breakers. Division record and head to head don't mean a thing anymore.
