When asked if Rodgers was medically cleared, McCarthy said that's "all part of the conversation."

SHAKE IT however you want....MM had said multiple times Rodgers was not medically cleared to play
    before last week

To me his comments beginning of last week and continuing here are telling

      B. I can't open that LINK...my article limit exceeded this month.

      I've been getting this stuff:

      ** Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 34m
12/23/13 Massaging the message: Mike McCarthy didn't talk about Aaron Rodgers' recovery and potential medical ... http://bit.ly/1cOGlGp

      ** Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 3h
The @ESPNMilwaukee, @ESPNMadison story on what #Packers Mike McCarthy said about Rodgers. You tell me what you think: http://bit.ly/1bnrsKe

      ** Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 3h
You can ignore me on this if you'd like. Way McCarthy talked today gave different vibe. Writing now. Sorry to get your hopes up if I did.

      ** Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 3h
Another crazy man. RT @KCousineau09: Call it whatever you want….but I think someone might get news he’s wanted to hear for nearly 2 months.

      ** Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 3h
Now is a good time to point out that The @AaronRodgers12 Show is at 1:30 CST Tuesday on @ESPNMilwaukee, @ESPNMadison.

      ** Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 3h
The way McCarthy talked, the way he said they wanted a decision early in the week, and the gravity of the game ... Maybe I'm wrong.

      ** Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 3h
Am I crazy if my gut is telling me that Aaron Rodgers gets the thumbs-up tomorrow from Dr. McKenzie and starts for #Packers Sunday?

I've felt all along he GB management has wanted to shut Rodgers down this year.....I do not blame them although I personally would like to see the return
I think MM's comments are telling in a couple ways.........I call bullshit IMO to anybody who wants to argue he's not cleared to play. I get the organizatinal decision and at this point that is what it is. I think MM is foaming for AROD's return, as is AROD. Part of me thinks MM would milk the decision out til end of week...unless the odds are good he is going to get to play. the other litle man on the other side of my shoulder ....thinks I'm full of shit.....and AROD is getting shut down

As I posted I cannot LINK through to the article/story.

When I read that title I'm not encouraged that AR will be cleared and 'in fact' get a vibe of the opposite.

That AR will be held back some more.

Now the stuff that Jason Wilde Tweeted does allow me to feel a wee bit encouraged that AR may be OK's medically to return.

I'm just not sure ..as that might be some cheap ploy to encourage ratings for tomorrows Aaron Rodgers Radio Show:

            Here's my take.

I'm reading a lot of stuff on this and one thing I'm getting is that all this covert BS we've observed Fr. MM is getting him nothing but unpopular. The Packer fans are getting more and more pissed.

Fans demand honesty as fans should.

So step from the fans to the Locker room. Same thing there and inside and even more demanding of the facts. Aaron Rodgers team mates certainly should know. Their as in the dark as the fans. I do know that Packer roster players cannot be milling about and talking about this/that and Aaron Rodgers; because they have to focus as individuals on 'the Team' and preparation for the next game.

Does an early week decision speculate anything and return. No !

Whether that decision is AR back or not.

It does allow MM to just focus on the main task at hand. Coaching the team and not having the stress of the Press and all the damn questions to lend to this or that scoop.

MM doesn't need any distractions and setting down the schemes to defeat the Bears. Getting 'the TEAM' to the playoffs.

I should clarify one thing for all since I keep getting in the midst of this debate.

I'm a gambler so my bias would be to get Rodgers back on the field

I think TT is a conservative who is trying to protect hs 100Million Dollar investment; I'm not blaming him for that. It's just not how my thought process is wired.

I read this thread title, and for a moment, I thought LeBron James was gonna decide soon whether to play in the NFL or continue playing in the NBA.

In Rodgers' case, the worst case scenario is he reinjuries the shoulder and is out for all or most of the off-season. (What are the odds Shea McClellin cuts of the head of the snake once again this Sunday?)

Rodgers is at a point in his career where he has reached Favre status. Favre, if you recall, was rarely seen in Green Bay for the "voluntary" off-season workouts after he turned 30.

Rodgers knows McCarthy's offense like the back of his hand. He's rich enough to hire a personal trainer. Rodgers doesn't need to be in GB for the OTAs, and the Packers need not need worry he will get fat like Shawn Kemp.

The fuck with being conservative. Play A-Rod and WIN!

Playing Rogers now is like playing to get to the final table of the World Series of Poker. Your sitting at the last table before the final and have one player to beat. You're sitting with Ace/King suited. Do you go all in or sit back and play conservative?

Packers need to go all in.

We are just splitting hairs here unless I misunderstand you. Are you saying he is 100% and there is no risk of further, worse injury and the Packers want to shut him down?

Because I doubt that is the case.

Wilde is stirring the pot, trying to get his ratings up on a day when more people are likely to be home and able to listen.

Either that or he knows that the real timetable was 8 weeks all along and he's just been playing to that.

Actually Favre reached the status where he did NOTHING in the offseason other than get fat and out of shape. If you are going to rehash history, it should at least be accurate. The packers (MM and TT) eventually hired a trainer and sent him to mississippi so Brett would not come into camp with tendinitis in his shoulder and be limited AGAIN.

                            Depends on your stack size.

Rodgers will play this week. That's my bet!
