Rodgers: It will be definitive one way or another on Thursday.

    Rob Demovsky ‏@RobDemovsky 1m
Rodgers: "I think it's easier if we get the decision out of the way on Thursday and move forward."

    Pete Dougherty ‏@PeteDougherty 42s
Rodgers: thought there's be more healing as of last week. learned a lot about clavicle, lack of blood flow it gets.

IF IT'S A QUESTION OF BLOOD FLOW, MAYBE HE SHOULD HAVE ASKED DR. ABOUT CIALIS.

    Rob Demovsky ‏@RobDemovsky 41s
Rodgers: "Easy to be an unnamed source. Ultimately there's 4 people that have a good idea what's going on. Everybody else is just conjecture

    Pete Dougherty ‏@PeteDougherty 40s
Rodgers: In all honesty, it's healed about the speed it's supposed to heal. We were hoping it would be faster.

    Pete Dougherty ‏@PeteDougherty 2m
Rodgers: Comments about my state of mind or my relationship with McCarthy are inappropriate. Anonymous sources are cowards.
** " We have done a scan and we are going through the process of evaluation. Scan was in the last 24 hours.
I think it's easier if we get the decision out of the way on Thursday and move forward. "
    Aaron Rodgers

** Aaron Rodgers says we will learn more on Thursday or Dec. 26, 2013.

    The wording here is positive:

In all honesty, it's healed about the speed it's supposed to heal. We were hoping it would be faster. Aaron Rodgers

Note: He used the past tense above for the word (heal). He says it's healed not healing.

I interpret that as somewhat encouraging.
Just merely somewhat encouraging means not so much as I view it now.

** Four people know exactly what's going on: Dr. Patrick McKenzie, Aaron Rodgers (his agent? David Dunn? Does he know? It doesn't appear so) so the other two in the know would then be logically Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy.

** Noone should believe the rumor's floating that there is any rift between Aaron Rodgers and his HC Mike Mccarthy. Any of that dark drama isn't the TRUTH. Dispel such baloney.

    Merry Christmas all Packerrats.

Things he said today that might support not playing:

              a) Rob Demovsky ‏@RobDemovsky 1m
Rodgers: "I think it's easier if we get the decision out of the way on Thursday and move forward."

This lends no support either way until you read b)

              b) Pete Dougherty ‏@PeteDougherty 42s
Rodgers: thought there's be more healing as of last week. learned a lot about clavicle, lack of blood flow it gets.

              c) In all honesty, it's healed about the speed it's supposed to heal. We were hoping it would be faster.

If you read this and connect c) to b) You might lean moreso toword:

Aaron Rodgers isn't playing this week.

It's still nothing but conjecture and all I have is hope that he will return.

The reality is that the Packers aren't getting past the Divisional round no matter what happens with Rodgers. I don't care if he returns or not, just so that they beat the Bears any way they can. I don't care if it's the ugliest worst game I ever see, as long as they win.

Teams the Packers might have to travel to: Seahawks, Eagles/Cowboys, Panthers

                  Afraid of NONE of them.

Teams that would have to come to Lambeau: 49ers, Saints, Cowboys/Eagles

Afraid of ONE of these and the Packers have the better running game this time (49ers). If that truly matters, this playoff sets up pretty nicely despite all you fainting debutantes breathlessly proclaiming doom.

                  Bring it on.

It's difficult to say which Bear team shows up on Sunday. They are 5-2 this season at Home.

They have the 3rd ranked Points For @ 27.8 P/G in the NFL Vs the Packers 9th ranked Points For of 25.6 P/G.

It gets bad for the Packers if Eddie Lacy can't go strong. Matt Forte gives their offense good balance and his talents will give the edge on the ground over the Packers without Lacy.

Their 5th ranked passing game is very solid with Big receivers. They'll be difficult to contain for our secondary unless the boys play lights out or extremely well.

Without getting into details as bad as our 'D' is the Bears is worse. They give up an average of 29.7 P/G to the Packers 26.7 P/G.

Vegas doesn't have a line on this game yet. I'd set it at a Max Chicago -3.5.

The Packers have to play with huge heart to get this one. We certainly have a chance.

I'll say this... the Packers have a running game now, a much more diverse one. I also think they have a more physical, resourceful offense better suited to dealing with the NFCW defenses. And those teams' offenses are not exactly overpowering.

But anyways, what? He saw the scans?? Does he work/was he contracted by the Packers? Those scans aren't exactly floating around, and I'm sure the Packers don't want anyone to see them. If he has, that's some pretty inside information and would be pretty sought after even as an 'unnamed source'.
Yep, I have a client who is in the sports med department at the UW. He said his doc buddy from med school had seen the scan up in GB. I don't see what he has to gain by telling me other than knowing I am a huge Packer fan and season ticket holder.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Are you assuming with Rodgers or are you smoking the funny homer stuff and trying to argue we stand a shot with Flynn ?

Seattle has superior personell to Green Bay if we are healthy. Our OL is banged up and they have the best pass rush in the NFL ....w/o even mentioning they have the best secondary in the NFL as well. How anybody can not fear them at home baffles me. With Rodgers they probably beat us...without him they kick the shit out of us. Eagles offense combined with our defensive incompetency should at least bring some fear. With Rodgers we have a shot but still not favored.

Max must be assuming Rodgers, Cobb, and maybe Matthews. I assume Matthews is done and Perry is marginal. Rodgers and Cobb aren't enough with how weakened the defense has become, but with those two, the Packers will make the Divisional loss a very interesting game.
