See them there are Timm's Hill, Price County, people. Visit High Point village on the shore of Bass Lake and a stone's throw from Timm's Hill. Investigate a stay at the "Northern Sky" lodge. A breathtaking area in the Fall.

Some folk in the Wausau area say Marathon County's 'Rib Mountain' is Wisconsin's highest point. Wrong. Rib Mountain, a skiing destination; and once known as Rib Hill a few honest and down to earth generations ago, rises to 1924 ft. above sea level. Timm's Hill in Price County to the northwest is the highest at 1952.5 ft. give or take an inch. You see...Rib Mountain stands higher above the surrounding terrain than any other hill in Wisconsin. Something for the Marathoners to brag about !

In the also ran award category. Pearson Hill, about 0.5 miles from Timm's Hill, is only 8 1/2 inchs lower than Timm's Hill.

Who was that man that did all those measurements?





" Timm's Hill an inconspicuous high bump on a moraine." That moraine was deposited by a glacier in the last Ice Age. Nowhere is the glacier's mark upon the land more impressive than in Northern Wisconsin. A poorly drained rocky landscape dotted with lakes, marshes, and bogs. The Wisconsin Glaciation lasting from about 100,000 to 10,000 years ago.

High Point Village

A great jump off spot for cross country skiing, skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing in the winter, and boating and swimming in the summer.

Take in the Great Upper Wisconsin Mud Wrestling Championships, held ...well check with the locals.



This is nice country.



Go anywhere and mention the Green Bay Packers and you'll get your ear talked off. Everybody in this area is a Packer fan or their not admitting otherwise.



Yup ... shoeless Packer fans all summer long.

Damn those country gals are purrrty.
