Just read somewhere this morning that Randall Cobb is taking a job as a college analyst but also says he has not retired. Is he keeping himself available if the Jest need a guy later in the season perhaps?

Got a text from a local Pack fan today that Cobb did announce his retirement today.

Who among us wouldn't want to get paid to play a boy's game? I think sometimes about the career minor league baseball players. They don't make very much money at all, most of them, but it would be hard to say no to getting paid to play a game you loved as a kid. At least until you start your family, if you decide to do that.

As for the grammar part, all I will say is that I used to watch Hockey Night in Canada sometimes, and I always got a kick out of the Canadian announcers saying "The team are on the ice!"

Greg VanRoten signed with the Giants. This guy continues to hang around. He was with the Packers way back in 2012 and 2013, then was out of the league for three years. He has started 71 games the last 6 years, for 4 different teams, including all 17 for the Raiders last year. Odd career that didn't really get off the ground until he was 28 years old.
