I don't know. They play like they're dead when they're in Green Bay, so maybe Carolina (and Jacksonville now) is where ex-Packer safeties go to . . . rot, maybe?

Speaking of Carolina, didn't they sign Yosh Nijman, and then he got hurt? Is he back playing or practicing again, I wonder?

He is talking like he wants to play. Personally I figured he was done, but for the reason I thought he wouldn't risk his future health anymore. I did factor in that no GM will sign him until after the contract isn't guaranteed. Bottom line though, if he is willing to sign a deal for $5 Million someone will roster him.

              • Not a former Packer, but I got a chance to meet Jack Del Rio this morning on a flight to Atlanta. Pretty down to earth guy. Reminds me a lot of my dad.

                    • Nobody will touch him until after vested veteran contracts are guaranteed. I think that's the day after cutdown? He wouldn't be in "football shape" and need a few weeks to get that back too, but you could have him as a backup LT at a minimum. If he's healthy I'd bet he's still got something left.

I don't see a reunion in GB though. I feel like that ship has sailed.

I believe Barnes, King, Tonyan, and Burks were signed to practice squads. Not sure about the rest.

                              • Add Lawrence Guy to the list of former Packers still bouncing around. Just saw he's got a try-out with the Ravens after 7 years in NE. With the DL the Pack has gone through in that time, would have been nice to have him around.

Taybor Pepper is also still in the league. He was with the Pack in 2017, the year they went through a few LSs. He broke his foot without seeing the field I believe. He spent a year in Miami and it the 49ers LS now.
