Positive: Highly decorated defensive lineman and three-year starter at Pittsburgh. Senior totals included 59 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks. Also recorded 16 quarterback hurries and 4 forced fumbles. Totaled 18.5 tackles for loss as a junior. Posted 16 tackles for loss as well as 11 sacks during his sophomore campaign. Intense and athletic defensive line prospect whose draft stock is on the rise. Plays with great quickness, explosion, and leverage. Fires off the snap with a terrific first step. Plays with good pad level, keeping his feet and hands active throughout the action. Instinctive, quickly finds the ball, and plays through the whistle. Defeats opponents in a variety of ways and shows himself to be more than just a first-move lineman. Possesses an arsenal of moves to get around blockers as well as the power to run through them. Jolts opponents with violent hand punch. Disruptive force constantly behind the line of scrimmage. Easily changes direction to pursue the play down the line of scrimmage, and has a closing burst to the action. Plays with an aggressive attitude but at the same time is a smart lineman. Gives effort and gets results defending the run while also possessing a great deal of pass-rushing skill.

Negative: Lacks bulk and can be engulfed by larger opponents or out positioned from the play. Scheme limited.

Analysis: Donald had three highly productive seasons at Pittsburgh then performed brilliantly in the pre-draft process. He has size limitations but should be a premier 3-technique tackle at the next level with the ability to occasionally line up as a two-gap end. Entering the season as a late-round pick, expect Donald to fall somewhere in the middle of the first round this May.

but when you watched him play you just don't see a sure fire franchise QB

I agree with that... good player, but he won't be max value in 4-3

I'm not familiar enough with Zimmer's scheme to say bad fit or not I guess.....didn;t watch a ton of Bengals.
