      • At Pick NO. 89:

The San Diego Chargers pick Chris Watt an OG - (6'3" 310) - Notre Dame and a very decent grade of 5.4 for a later third Rd. pick.
        ** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

Thornton is 6-2 5/8, 304, run stopper. Raji and Guion on one-year contracts.
          Fat slugs are a dime/dozen.

Even if he can play?? So what... a wasted pick.

Besides, you know he'll just be standing on the sidelines... does anyone doubt this??

            • Raji's numbers for comparison:

              Height: 6014
              Weight: 337
              40 Yrd Dash: 5.12
              20 Yrd Dash: 2.93
              10 Yrd Dash: 1.69 225 Lb. Bench Reps: 33
              Vertical Jump: 32
              Broad Jump: 08'07"
              20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.69
              3-Cone Drill: 7.90

So Raji is shorter, heavier, slower in the 40 and 20, and 3 Cone.
Thornton is taller, lighter, slower at 10 and the Shuttle, broad jumped farther but less vertical, benched 28 to Raji's 33.

My guess is Thornton puts on 15 pounds of muscle by 2015-16 season and plays DT. Don't see him as a 5-tech but I'm sure they'll try him everywhere in Dom's scheme to find a fit.
I really don't see him being active on Sundays (this year) unless there are lots of injuries or he plays lights out in TC.

                • Colts get a solid WR IMO:

They Pick a very exciting WR in Donte Moncrief, (6'2" 221) and his 4.40 Second ...40 yard sprint... Mississippi and a very high Grade of 5.9.

                  Comment woodbuck27:

His NFL QB Andrew Luck....is going to be delighted. Andrew Luck now has another weapon.

                        • Bleacher Report mentions Thornton as a sleeper pick; they think he'll be underrated because of how bad So. Miss was lately: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...er-team/page/9
Though here, too, they call him a possible "middle round gem".

More detail on him from a link in the story above: http://www.boltsfromtheblue.com/2014-nfl-draft-scouting-reports/2014/4/8/5594570/khyri-thornton-possible-day-3-nose-tackle-gem
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

                          • Bruce Ellington is a very nice WR as well

As it turned out,we could have picked a defender in round two and still got Moncrief in the third

Cardinals (From Saints) Brown, pick John Brown another WR and smallish at (5'10" 179 lbs) from Pittsburg St.

                                Moncrief is overrated.
