I watched the clip a few more times, and IMO Lee's ACL spontaneously shattered and left the building all on its own.

Yea, it looked like the lineman wanted to give him a shove and met with so little resistance he fell on top of Lee. Certainly no fan of JJ, but he would have been right to blow his top if that incident drew a league penalty.

As opposed to the usual half a season

            Yea.

We need a solid season out of CM III to back up acquiring Julius Peppers.

We're no longer playing "HAPPY" to win the NFCN.

It's the NFC Conference title game or a busted season.

'boys think there's a chance Lee will be back before the end of the season

Coach Jason Garrett said he anticipates the surgery to be done by the Cowboys’ medical staff and would not close the door on Lee returning later in the season.
Let's see, it's June, and the surgery is this week. If they would like him back in time for the start of the playoffs, that means 6 1/2 month recovery period. Ya, that would be something.

Not much point in bringing him back to finish 8-8 with a flourish and just miss the playoffs again.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I feel bad for this Cowboy. He was playing at such a high level before the two injuries.

the boys almost never finish with a flourish. they have a terrible december record. would love to see them at 8 and 8 again. long live jerry.

LB Sean Weatherspoon of Atlanta is out for the year with a ruptured achilles he hurt in practice. He missed 9 games last year with a foot injury. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200...-torn-achilles

He was the 19th overall pick in the 2010 draft.

                        And another
Just because they're supposed to be non-contact workouts this time of year, it doesn't make them safe.

Is there more of this than usual, or is the media just paying more attention to it because the the players going down are reasonably high profile?

Sucks getting injured in OTA's, but for bottom of the roster guys the worst is getting injured working out on your own before camp starts. The teams can just cut them with a failed physical / non-football injury designation, no PUP, no IR, just good bye. They can't do that with OTA injuries.
