There's some reason for optimism. They won't play a team as good the Seahawks again this season, they can't play any sloppier or as undisciplined as they did today.Originally posted by call_me_ishmael View PostBright spots:
HaHa looks like he will be a player eventually. Hard to tell if he was good in coverage, but he was active at least. Around the ball a lot.
Nick Perry isn't hurt yet and looked okay. I missed most of the 4th quarter due to a DVR mishap, though.
Not so bright spots:
We need a serious speed update to the MLBs. I'm all for speed instead of size at this point.
We need some long ends. Mike Daniels is a good, aggressive player but he looked like shit IMO. He is not an end. He is way too short. Situational player.
However, they could also lose 3-9 more players to injuries. So who knows.

FWIW, the mighty 49ers of yonderseason got beat by 26 in Seattle last year and sniffed their jocks 2 more times after that, beating them once in Seattle and then playing them down to the last play in the division championship.Originally posted by call_me_ishmael View PostLOL. Barring any significant injury to Seattle, we will not sniff their jock. Did you see that speed? They dominated every single facet of the game. It wasn't as close as the score reflected IMO.When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.

No stupid running into the kicker, no stupid facemask, etc... and the game is a lot closer. I'm in no way saying we are on the same level as Seattle. They are the class of the league. What I'm saying is, to beat them, you have to play flawless. MM teams never start the year flawless. I'm saying on any given Sunday later in the year, this MM team could (not saying they will) but the could put a flawless game together and beat this Seattle team. That's what it takes. We obviously didn't see that tonight, and I didn't expect to, I guess some people here did...Originally posted by call_me_ishmael View PostLOL. I love big Pick, but he wouldn't have helpd the fact that Green Bay's defense looked like it was stuck in 2nd gear all night trying to chase down Seattle's misdirection.Originally posted by George Cumby View PostRyan Pickett, Ryan Pickett, wherefore art Thou, Ryan Pickett? When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.

Running into the kicker
At least 2 Seattle drives kept alive by Packer penalties
2 Packer turnovers deep in their own territory
A missed interception
Poor tackling all night
Seattle is really good, but the Packers made it pretty easy for them. No team is unbeatable, and the Packers are not as bad as they looked tonight.I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

I'll answer my own questionOriginally posted by Bossman641 View PostPlease tell me where you are hearing this. I've been looking for news
From MM press conference..
“I’m told that it was a knee sprain. As of right now, we do not fear a major injury. That’s kind of where it stands until we get back and get the scans in there, we’ll know better. Right now the trainer’s words were we do not fear a major injury.”
Of course with the Packers trainers that probably means it's a leg amputation.Go PACK
