This was probably brought up when the schedule was released - Boy, the Packers got hosed this year with road games.

Start the season in Seattle, then have to play in Florida, twice (Miami & Tampa Bay) and have to play in New Orleans too.

The Packers have an advantage going into this one in that Kevin Coyle, the Dolphins D coordinator, also built his chops under for Marvin Lewis the same as Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer. Their schemes should be similar although the stength of Miami's defense is definitely their D line.

Philbin made his way into the league as an offensive line guru and has stitched together both great zone-blocking offenses and power running offenses during his career. He surely takes a lot of pride in that aspect of offense although Miami's line hasn't looked great so far. Getting back Pouncy might help, but I still expect a big day for our front 4.

      Any word on Datone's injury?

Philbin will have his guys ready to play.

That said, GB should win most of the matchups. To me, this game is about Randall Cobb, and the war in the trenches (OL & DL).

Mia's DL is pretty good, so if Rodgers stays upright and Lacy finds room this will bode well. On the other side, if Tannehill gets pressured I think he will make mistakes.
Would be surprised if they don't shadow Jordy, so Cobb ought to have chances against that secondary.

The write up on Miami reminded me of Detroit's front four - pretty darn good, but not so good in the back end. I'm a little concerned by that, and after I read about Miami's offensive line, I wondered if GB's defensive line could stop their run.

Those issues, combined with the heat, make me worry a bit that the Packers could wilt in the second half.

Datone Jones and Boykin did not practice today. Josh Boyd and Sam Barrington did practice.

MM said Boykin will not practice tomorrow, and therefore will probably not play Sunday. Jones is day to day.

That's pretty cool for Florida, guys. If it's overcast, or better yet, lightly raining, the Packers basically have no disadvantage playing in Florida.

I don't feel as at ease about this game as some of you. But I don't think the Fins have that great of an offense, so the defense shouldn't be too bad.

Quite a bit of the country getting Packers/Dolphins. Must suck to be in northwest Wisconsin. http://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2014&wk=6

Does that happen often? Seems like that would be Packer territory given history and distance.

I can't believe I am going to have to stream Dallas and Seattle to avoid the Bears/Falcons disappointment fest.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Remember, the season is over. Also, opponent adjustments aren't in so that Vikings win will deflate as they get to Week 8 and the Seattle loss is probably not enough to make up for it. Still Slocum has the top-ranked (tied w/ Offense) on the team. Mind boggling.

I don't know how often it happens, but they're certainly closer to Minneapolis than they are to Green Bay or Milwaukee. Do we have any 'Rats from out there?
