Some teams should abandon the run. Surprisingly, the Packers are not among them.
Which Teams Should Abandon the Run?

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Corey Linsley's take on playing in hot (or cold) weather:
Hmmm. I wonder what Corey scored on his Wonderlic?"I like it because I feel like the hot is like, you get like delusional, you just stop caring," said Linsley, a native of Youngstown, Ohio. "Like I feel like when it's just hot, I feel like 'Oh man! It’s hot, like shoot.' You start like complaining. But when it's like really hot, and really humid and you’re like 'Dude this sucks. I'm going to go as hard as I can.'"One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

I really don't want the Packers getting delusional in the heat - that would be heat stroke which is not conducive to playing well. The real problem is the high humidity which makes sweat and the sideline misters less effective.Originally posted by Maxie the Taxi View PostFrom: http://espn.go.com/blog/green-bay-pa...the-miami-heat

High humidity is key, no doubt. But in my experience, as Smuggler noted, the real key is whether or not there is sun. The Florida sun is brutal and if it is out it can feel like an extra 20 degrees of oppressive heat.
The secret is hydration. You have to get lots of water into you whether you feel like you need it or not.One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. I am bummed that I'm going to have to look up some illegal feed on my computer in order to watch the game this Sunday. I'm really curious about how the O-line, the young receivers and tight end(s), and D-line will play this week.
I feel that we kinda know what we have in the defensive backfield and the linebackers, but the d-line is still potentially developing. I feel that the o-line has a lot to prove - they're not exactly living up to the hype these first five games. And it ain't the young guys that are the problem. They haven't been horrible, but they've been inconsistent."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

12 minutes goes by fast. I didn't finish it. I got a 44, which may be great for the NFL but was only good for 2nd place at this grocery store. The old lady who worked in floral apparently got a 48.Originally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostAnd?Last edited by 3irty1; 10-09-2014, 01:29 PM.70% of the Earth is covered by water. My worry is Miami has a decent running game and this is our biggest defensive weakness. I think it is imperative that we get an early lead and not turn the ball over. If we do this and force Tannehill to beat us I like our chances. I hope it is overcast and/or rainy to keep it cooler. Fortunately most of the guys on our team come from warmer climates than GB so as long as they hydrate well this week they should be okay.Originally posted by Rutnstrut View PostI don't feel as at ease about this game as some of you. But I don't think the Fins have that great of an offense, so the defense shouldn't be too bad.
