    From Bob McGinn's Column:

Hold the phone. A third personnel man picked Atlanta, 20-17.

"I see this as a trap game for Green Bay," the scout said. "I'm expecting an emotional letdown on offense as the Packers come off the New England game.

Packers are gonna lose four in a row to end the season, like a wild animal getting all four paws stuck in traps, and will miss the playoffs.

Are you implying that MM doesn't prepare the Packers each and every week?
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I'm ignoring that. The question is too silly.

Don't underestimate Ice Ice Ryan. The guy's a good QB. Can make all the throws. The Packers DBs better bring their A-game.

Ryan is my favorite non-Packers QB since Joey Harrington.

I see a lot about his very good arm, but each time I have watched him (probably a grand total of five times admittedly) I keep seeing wobbles on 40+ deep throws. Not saying he is bad at all, but I think that arm in overestimated in general and his WR make it hard to tease it out. Tramontana got him on a flutter ball short in the playoff game.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Something tells me Rodgers ain't gonna have as much time to pass Monday Night as he had last Sunday. Unlike Belicheat, Mike Smith is probably planning to blitz the farm:

Falcons finally find way to generate pressure, even with no sacks

The Falcons didn't record a sack, but they put tremendous pressure on quarterback Drew Stanton. Defensive coordinator Mike Nolan was aggressive with his blitz packages, and defensive linemen Jonathan Babineaux, Corey Peters and Cliff Matthews stepped up with big defensive efforts while winning their battles at the line of scrimmage.

Smith pointed to third-down efficiency as the statistic most indicative of the defensive pressure applied. The Cardinals were 1-of-7 on third down.

"We went into the game wanting to put pressure on the quarterback, and I know the first thing you're going to say is, 'Well, Coach, you had no sacks.' But we hit and knock the quarterback down 11 times," Smith said Monday. "So we got accomplished what we needed to get accomplished. We forced three turnovers. There were two others that we felt like we possibly should have had in the ballgame. So we did a good job on third down.

"We had the quarterback feeling the pressure, and we took the ball away. And when you win the turnover battle and you win third downs on defense, you're going to have a pretty good day."
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Rodgers ain't Stanton and our WRs are better than AZs. Rodgers has a 132 QB rating vs the blitz.

                            Bring it Smith.

not a great arm. And watching the slow windup for the deep ball is painful - unless you want the Falcons to lose.

But he did have perfect placement to Julio against the Cards, so there's that to recommend him.

                                This.

Blitzing Rodgers often is going to produce very different results than blitzing Stanton, even before you take into account for home/away pass rush advantages.
