Damn. They just showed Bernie/Byner Browns playoff woes, Horse Face celebrating then Favre after his Lambeau playoff INT versus the Giants and Coughlin's frozen red face celebrating. I am going to be sick.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Sometimes having a great ILB makes a defense, well, great.

The Bears with Urlacher. Ravens with Lewis. Look at the Gold Diggers D this season without their two-head monsters.

Apparently, Ted Thompson seems to think Hawk and Jones are bona fide ILBers. The Polar Bear needs to acquire a hotshot ILB in the off-season.
You know what happens when you chase the one thing you need. You develop three other holes and have to pray the one guy works out.

Stay the course. And try to find three guys who might work better.

OK. Five shots or more of Jim Harbaugh at this game and I am bailing. That is my limit.

Not if the ILB can fill 4 holes.

The hotshot ILB plays the run so well, he single-handily forces opposing offenses to abandon the run. Consequently, offenses become one-dimensional. The hotshot ILB excels in coverage and is also an excellent blitzer.

It's Thompson job to find a hotshot ILB.

Perfect example of TERRIBLE leverage on that tackle attempt on Brown on that pass. The DB should have wanted Brown to go inside where all the Raven help was. But he drove hard inside to cut him off by himself and gave up contain. Boom, first down on 3rd on 10 with a 3 yard route.

McClendon, Packers tried to sign him a year or two ago.

Danny Shelton can fill four gaps. Shades of Gilbert Brown.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

12 men on the special team defense of Pittsburgh field goal. Penalty gives them first down.

Anyone else seeing a trend in these playoffs so far regarding: poor special teams play costs games?

Well that and 3rd string QBs an 3rd string DBs. But yes, no doubt.

Ravens still did force a FG.

Ryan Shazier is looking pretty good. Jason Worilds too. Both guys PackerRats were screaming for in the past. Not to mention CJ Mosley.

Debating pass interference is not as exciting as an actual defensive struggle. These two games make me long for 13-10 games of the 1970s.
