would we be happy with Kendricks ? I kind of want Jones
The comparisons of Kendricks to Brad Jones made me puke on myself and hate him before I ever watched him playTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Steelers with 9 first-round picks in Mike Tomlin era: 6 spent on the front seven (4 LB). Part of that is not hitting on the picks."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck

4. D.J. HUMPHRIES | Florida 6050|307 lbs|3JR Union, N.C. (Mallard Creek HS) 12/28/1993 (age 21) #70
BACKGROUND: A five-star offensive tackle recruit out of high school, Dierrias “D.J.” Humphries was a hot commodity out of North Carolina and spurned offers from Alabama, Georgia and many others to sign with Florida. He played in all 12 games as a true freshman, starting three at left tackle and earning Freshman All-SEC honors. Humphries played in the first seven games (six starts) in 2013 before a knee injury sidelined him for the rest of his sophomore season. He missed two games as junior in 2013, starting 10 games at left tackle. Humphries decided to skip his senior season and enter the 2015 NFL Draft.
STRENGTHS: Coordinated lower half with clean footwork and knee bend…natural athlete with the lateral range to handle any type of edge speed, riding rushers around the corner or countering inside stunts…mobile and easily gets to the second level, looking for blood…centers his gravity and uses his body rhythm to hold his ground at the contact point in pass protection…sets up quickly and sits in his stance with functional arm length and flexible coil…leans a little, but stays balanced and keeps his feet underneath him…improved eye use to be more calculating with his punch and extension, waiting for rushers to make the first move before attacking…displays consistent intensity through the snap, playing on edge…possesses an inner confidence on the field and off…has worked hard to eat right and grind in the weight room to elevate his weight, adding 40+ pounds the last three years…football bloodlines – father (D.J.) played football at Presbyterian College and went undrafted in the 2002 NFL Draft, playing three seasons in the Arena Football League.
WEAKNESSES: Still growing into his frame and needs to stay at a consistent weight (300-310 pounds), playing in the 280-290 pound range in 2014…functional strength is a work-in-progress…lacks the point of attack power to shock defenders in the run game, lacking the hand strength to latch-and-control…needs to do a better job utilizing angles and doesn’t have a great feel for his positioning – doesn’t consistently turn his body to seal outside run lanes…spatial awareness is undeveloped and doesn’t “feel” what’s going on around him – needs to use his peripherals and keep his head on a swivel…misfires with his hands and needs to improve his aim…inconsistent snap anticipation and often a tick late with his first movements…rarely see him on the ground, but still caught lunging quite a bit…medicals need investigated, missing games each of the last two seasons – missed remainder of his sophomore season after a sprained MCL in his left knee (Oct. 2013) during practice; missed two games as a junior after a high ankle sprain and chipped bone in his knee (Sept. 2014).
SUMMARY: A blue-chip prep recruit, Humphries flashed top-shelf talent and potential when on the field in Gainesville due to his lower body athleticism and natural gifts. He has been the best player on the field most of his life, getting by with those natural tools in his pass-sets, but he needs to get stronger and improve his awareness as a run blocker to reach his full potential at the next level. Humphries answered the weight questions during the pre-draft process, but the durability concerns are legitimate after several lower body injuries. While far from a finished product, he has intriguing potential due to his impressive lower body athleticism and hand use and he should get better as his technique improves – top-25 prospect and has the most upside of any offensive tackle in this draft class.
