  • But, Oh great and powerful Wist,

Try and wait until somebody buckles a chin strap or pulls on a jock before you condemn this draft to bust hell.

    • Well now I am sure why it all starts to run together.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

      • Wist is a one trick pony.

          • Pretty damning. The 49ers bombed that class and we have an embarrassment of riches, even considering Franklin's injury.

            • Wist is going to need a penis vacuum to re-inflate that limp noodle after that shot across the bow.
It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

              • San Francisco is such a well-run organization! They ran off a truly great HC and replaced him with someone who can't even put a coherent sentence together.

Yep...they are truly the epitome of greatness in the NFL today.

                  • LMAO thanks for posting vince.
In fairness, I remember that draft and thinking SF did a really nice job. In hindsight (as of today) GB's draft produced more players in general, and starters for sure. Gotta give TT his props there, he needed a bounce-back draft after the all-defense debacle.

                    • Don't know what you guys are crowing about the '13 draft... we got 1 good player (Lacy - who surprised me); but no one else is going to a pro bowl.

Bacteria is still light in the loafers and average at best; Jones is a disappointment; Hyde is okay, but is at best an average contributor; and the only reason Barrington is of any use is b/c TT forced Dom to change schemes.

If you're a draftcentric team, and you pick 36 guys a year - I'm not surprised that a number of those guys would be contributing... to whatever level of success or failure; afterall, we're a draftcentric team!!! lol...

Not only are we a draftcentric team - we are a QB centric team. Without Rodgers that same group of worldbeaters you guys think are so great went 2-5-1.

If we were a solid all-around football team - we wouldn't be looking at the #1 draft pick just b/c we lost our QB. NE lost their starting QB one year, and won the SB; same thing for the Giants... they had talent and depth all over the roster - we do not.

Answer this fellas - are we better today than on that fateful Sunday in Seattle in Feb?? The answer is - of course we're not better, we've regressed, and we weren't good enough last year... how does this escape you guys??

                      • I don' t typically get like this, but the prior post is stupid. Downright stupid. And the person that produced it should feel bad for doing so.

TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

                            *SIGH*

The reason history repeats itself is because people fail to learn from history - and I'm not talking about the Packers, Wisty.

                              1. Rodger calf is healthier
                              2. Williams, House(backup), Hawk(backup) and Jones(backup) are gone. Replaced by Hayward, Hyde (Goodman, Randall and Rollins), Bradford, Palmer, Ryan, Dantzler and Francis.
                              3. Barclay is healthier
                              4. Raji is back and Pennel gets a year to develop
                              5. They can again move Matthews outside if one of the five ILBs who will get the reps develops. He can then play anywhere they want him.
                              6. Their special teams stand a very good chance of improving with the return guy alone, even if nothing else happens with coaching.

                              • I don't know if Wist is now just trolling or if he believes his bull shit. Regardless, it's tiresome at best. He's not "ignore"-worthy, but Woodbuckian in how I treat his posts; a scan, at best.

This draft is exactly how many of us knew it would play out; lots of "Whodafuk?" Moments, followed by frantic googling, followed by head-scratching, followed by the dawning realization that some kid not touted by Mel Kiper or Lindys might be able to play some ball and that maybe, just maybe, Ted and his scouts might know their fukking business.

Special Teams is going to be better this year. Big letters. The kids in the secondary will ball. I'm not sold on the kid out of Michigan.
I like the full back and the DT. Don't care for the TE. But I'm not paid lots of dough to do this so I'm probably wrong.
