  • What makes this a successful season?

I have been thinking about this since Jordy went down. The only thing I can think of is NFCC Game and a top 15 defense.

Superbowl or bust. Anything else is just stats for the history books.

We had our SB shot last season. The stars don't align like that all too often. Success this year is winning the division and a good performance by Rodgers in the playoffs.

Agreed. It's a cliche, but in this case it's true: the Packers were one play away from being in the Super Bowl. And they had multiple chances at making that one play. Everyone's focus is on the onside kick, but there were a few plays that if they'd swung the other way so does the game. It was like the ghost of Golden Tate was in the building.

Losing Nelson in no way, shape of form diminishes my expectations for the season.

As for last year, teams also build toward championships. Sure, they COULD HAVE (maybe SHOULD HAVE) gotten there, but only in retrospect. Going into the NFCCG no one thought 2014 was their year. Sometimes teams have to learn how hard it is to get there, and GB should have learned that last year.

I get to watch the games, have some beers, and hang out with friends and family doing so.

I figured coming into this season the Packers would have to improve to stay the same because they weren't going to match the healthiness of last season. If things go reasonably well I think they can be more consistent on offense and turn the defense into a legitimate strength.

When you come as close to the Super bowl as they did last year, there is only 1 logical goal. Nobody in the Pro Bowl.

Beating the shit out of the Seahawks and the Bears (twice) would be good too.

super bowl or bust, anything else is another wasted season

and listening to all the national guys on the radio all week, it sure sounds like we are the favorites by most to win it all

                          even without jordy

no super bowl trophy = failed season imo

                            Dumb question.

Green Bay is called Titletown for a reason. With the best QB in the game under center, there is no reason to ever diminish expectations.

Diminished expectations are what Bears fans cling to. Don't be like them.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
