A lot has to go right for the Super Bowl to happen. Its easy to get deflated. Or have your SigInt get intercepted and a convoy destroyed en route to a blitz. Uninterruptible communication is key. Friendly home turf and good maps of enemy terrain, preferably prepared by the enemy itself helps. Plans for enemy's first fifteen movements are gold.

But sometimes fate turns on the bounce of a ball off your facemask.

I like a season where they steamroll good opponents. Winning versus the Patriots and trucking the Seachickens for 56 minutes were highpoints. Going deep into the playoffs is also necessary. I would not say I was happy about last season, but I don't see how you call it anything other than a successful one.

Still, I am glad M3 only talks about the Championship. Seems the only way to prepare. Be bold.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I'll be happy if we aren't talking about firing someone after the Bears game.

          1) Winning Record
          1.5) no career ending injuries
          2) Win for division
          3) Sweep the division
          4) win the nfccg
          5) bring Lombardi home

That is the order of level of success for this season. Having only one qualified success leads to too much heartache and ulcers. If you choose to believe that a sb is the only success, you are setting the table to feast on disappointment. I think we have a fairly high chan of a sb victory, but see many other success' along the way.

The whole preseason approach was about winning three games in January

A sweep of the Bears, all else is just gravy.

I read 3) as Sweep the Leg. I might approve versus NFC West.

if the Packers meet THEIR goals...then it's a successful season.

If Bart Starr is able to join Aaron & Brett on the field on Thanksgiving.
