The timeout strategy proved correct, the Lions were likely to punt and that happened.Originally posted by yetisnowman View PostOn 2nd down with them at midfield seems dumb. Particularly since your offense doesn't exactly look capable of putting a great drive together with no timeouts and 90 seconds. Oh look that paid off well
The fact that offense was worthless is not something you plan for. Can't go into shell.

its the same playsOriginally posted by pittstang5 View PostWOW, I agree with Troy.
not in his exact words, but the gist is - "How long is MM gonna allow this to happen before he takes over the playcalling."
i don't know if it matters who's calling them or when. the plays aren't working for shit and the execution is horrible.
they're still running fats mikes playbook

It's not a shell it's called smart football. Let the clock run and take a 3 pt leAd into half. 2nd down u stop the clock for them. StupidOriginally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostThe timeout strategy proved correct, the Lions were likely to punt and that happened.

Hindsight. Getting ball back to offense with more than a minute is reasonable bet. You expect to at least catch a pass or two and kill the clock if you need to. Stay aggressive, it inspires the team.Originally posted by yetisnowman View PostIt's not a shell it's called smart football.
