From pre-game interviews, Vikings secondary is quoted as saying that their approach will be to press the Packer receivers ("put their hands on them") and pressure Arod with their front four.

What else is new? Stubby has had several weeks now to come up with a counter strategy. Let's hope his answers during the post-game presser don't include the words "pad level" and "fundamentals."
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

You guys are nervous? What forever for? You are catching us reeling and the game is in your place.

If DBs are mugging our WRs and it isn't being called I don't know what else MM can do besides tell our guys to push off and be more physical.

I'm looking for less shotgun and more pistol or under center. We need more out of our running game. More motion and deception by WR's. More crossing routes and slants. But I'm probably going to be disappointed.

This is a real toss up game. Both teams have faced relatively weak schedules that make their records look better than they probably should. The Packers are the more talented team top to bottom...but they've been playing like crap for 3 weeks now. However, last week's loss was possibly the 2x4 to the face they needed to wake up. Losing to Denver and Carolina on the road are games people can make excuses for, but losing to Detroit in your own building is embarrassing. I expect to see a slightly different game plan this week...we'll see how that works out.

The Vikings can't let the Packers get any rythym going offensively...because if Rodgers starts to build his confidence back, that is a bad sign for any opposing defense. Regardless of the way Green Bay has been playing, this is still the best team the Vikings have played BY FAR to this point. For a young team without much experience, it is hard to predict how they will handle this game.

That's why this is a very much a 50-50 contest.
It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

With Hayward and Hyde starting in the secondary, the Vikings offense should have no problems.

EDIT: Don't necessarily run more, but when you do run, be in pistol.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Get the ball in playmakers' hands however possible. If we've hidden any playbook - these next few games should be wide open as its now or never.

Everything tells me we'll shit the bed on this one... Which is precisely why they'll win. No one is expecting it.

Get the ball out quickly, play with balance, spy AP and keep arod off his backside. Not rocket science.
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

I liked it better before the edit.

                                Dang. Mulumba out again.

If Janis doesn't see significant playing time today, Harlan will stage a sit-in.
