What happened to Eddy? Looks like he is in the dog house. Did something happen at practice?

        Other Impact plays...

        Jones' deflection on the int
        Cobb fumble td
        Crosby's missed fg
Peppers offsides leading to another fg

But he was a runner at that point. Watching it live I thought it was weak. I also didn't think there was PI on the prior play. Defender turned and has right to make a play. Refs will rarely make that call as it would've given us chance at the fg.

Given our shitty luck and bad calls over the years - karma owed us one

Except he initiated the contact with the receiver before he turned, and even then never played the ball.

Yeah, after I settled down, I concede that they shouldn't call PI on the deep throw. Even though the Lion prevented the comeback to the ball, he was turned and playing the ball. He has an equal right to it and can 'box out' - his "PI" was less aggressive than James Jones' PI on Adams.

I'll look at it again, but I think he was turned before contact. It's a pretty craft play. The refs will allow a lot if your head is turned and looking for the ball.

I admit, it was pretty fucking late when it happened so my memory may be foggy. I'll pay special attention when my wife watches the game this evening.

                      Something is up with Lacy.
                      From MM's press conference today:

(On why Eddie Lacy didn't play more) Nothing happened last week with Eddie. Leading up the game, frankly, there’s an internal football decision that was made. That’s what resulted in Eddie’s reps.
(So it wasn’t disciplinary?): Could be. But those things we don’t discuss in here anyway. It’s something that we handled internally, and that was the outcome.
(What can he do to improve) He needs to build off his preparation. He’s put up some yards in the prior games, but he can be better. We need to be better as a team, frankly. I discussed this in our team meeting. There’s a lot more to give. The fine details are not where we want them to be. There’s a formula for us to get it there. That was made clear to our players and with the expectations and the commitment that we’ve made to each other, and we’ve got to do a better job. We’re not clicking for four quarters in all three areas, and that’s what we’re working for.

I'm thinking MM knew the run blocking was going to be a train wreck with Lang and Bulaga out. So they went with RB's with more elusiveness. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

There have been 4 completions thrown at least 60 yards beyond line of scrimmage in last 10 seasons. Aaron Rodgers has 2 of them
                          Crazy.

I was just going to ask about that. A few years ago I remember Starks having a hard time getting on the field and there were allusions to his preparation, or lack of it. I wonder if Lacy has been taking a page out of his book. The whole thing is made stranger by the fact that Lacy was the running game for the last two weeks.

Not a bad theory Joe. I thought Rodgers was dead on the Hail Mary play for shits sake...three rushers and he was running for his life. What a joke.

Lacy missed the team curfew the night before. So he got to ride the pine.
