But the team that came out of the bye week is nothing like the team that went 6-0 to start the season. The inability to adapt to the new opposing defensive strategies after the Denver game is both puzzling and troubling.
We have covered the Seahawks collapse to death and I do think that his 4 minute mindset hurt the team in that game beyond the five fluke plays.

But I think you can overcome that conservative approach. I am much more worried about the offense stagnating. The problem with man coverage has been around for several years now. Since 2011, if you have man corners and can play press with 4 or five man pressure, you can really slow down this offense.

Of course, you can say that about a lot of offenses however the Packers seem particularly susceptible.

I think there are two overriding issues:

      1. How culpable is EB for the overall dysfunction on offense? Did he bump his head against his coaching ceiling? Do you remove EB from the OC position? If so, do you fill it with Clements, or hire someone else, like Philbin? Would EB accept a demotion, perhaps back to coaching WRs, or do you need to let him go?

      2. If MM intends to continue play calling, what does he do with Clements? This may also depend on the handling of #1.

Do you keep them all, and just reshuffle the deck again? Clements as OC-Passing game, and EB as OC-Running game, then hire a WR coach?

Hasn't GB said no in the past to teams who wanted to interview some of these coaches? Maybe it's time to not only say yes, but to encourage these coaches' agents to expand their clients' career horizons.

They turned Chicago down when they wanted to interview Clements and I think they held up McAdoo at least once, though he has since left.

After an offensive collapse in 2015, I'm not sure any of them will be at the top of anyone's list. Would anyone hire Clements to be OC and call plays? EB has to prove himself as an OC before anyone will hire him as their OC, or as anything similar.

My previous tweet was not a joke. Jimmy Haslam offered Mark Shapiro top level job last summer, per source. Shapiro declined.

And not the first attempt, apparently.

Easily solved. You have MM announce that he is utterly responsible for the offensive collapse, micromanaging his offensive coaches all year long. Then he announces he doesn't want any of them to leave and they're all getting raises.

And suddenly they'd be hot properties again.

The #Jaguars have fired defensive coordinator Bob Babich, just hours after GM Dave Caldwell said to expect D changes

Gus Bradley hangs on to his job, its just gonna cost him some friends and reputation.

Sean Payton staying in New Orleans. They couldn't find a taker for a #2 pick.

Is it just the pick or are people not that high on Payton anymore?

Between Bountygate a few years ago and the last two seasons being pretty weak, I can see why.
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

Payton will be gone in about 2 seasons max. That team is turning into a dumpster fire.

Lovie Smith fired by Tampa Bay. Didn't see that coming.

                        He'll be a DC somewhere.

                          Yeah, a small surprise.

There is something Marty Schottenheimer-esque about Lovie.

He gets your club hard nosed and all business, but they don't win, they just lose prettier.

without looking it up, I would bet it has something to do with a defensive-minded coach not connecting with Winston. Maybe there was a rift between them.
