  • Injury prone, and ineffective. I guess he should have gotten a 3rd or 4th rounder?

    • Maybe we could of gotten the 3rd or 4th rounder for Davenport the day after he won the Horse Trailer Player of the Game two years ago.

Ok, whatever. I guess I just didn't expect the "feminine" side of TT to come out on cut day....

Obviously, he's not trying to use his popularity to find a wife...

I don't get it. Why not get something rather than nothing? TT loves the NFL draft so why not get some draft picks or project player for the Scout team.

Davenport did have value. He could have been in Miami last season and possibly could have traded to Houston this week given their RB situation. It seems that we could have got something for him rather than just letting him walk.
Unless you are running the Wolf-Parcells private waiver wire, trading a player in danger of getting cut is tough. The team looking for him has all the cards. They may have been offering scrubs, not even a draft pick.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

          • Davenport is a big stiffy. He can't catch a pass. He won't block. He's an upright, downhill runner. Ya, he makes a few impressive runs when he has a seam to slash through. He's a guy who can fill-in for a few games a year - at best. I am glad the team moved on.

Someone else just posted a link to JSO about Hawkins being waived off of IR after an injury settlement's reached. Think Tollefson, Alcorn and maybe Brown could make the Practice Squad.

Not surprised about Peterson, agree about Davenport.

                • The Packers could still use an extra WR. They should consider picking up Mike Hass, the Fred Biletnikoff winner last year.

Hass was on the last cut of the Saints. That organization is loaded with skilled WR's.

In college Hass had a knack for getting open and catching everying the QB threw in his direction.

Your infatuation with Hass is making me ill.

New Orleans traded Donte' Stallworth. Their starting receiver opposite Joe Horn is rookie Marques Colston. I'm sorry, but Joe Horn, Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, Jamal Jones (former Packer scrub), and Bethel Johnson is not a team loaded at WR.

                            Harvey,

If you saw Hass play the last 3 years like I have, you would be a supporter of him as well.

out of the ones cut, i was rooting for brewster and i liked manning. he played hard and i hope he gets an opportunity elsewhere.

i bet TT will be up a long time tonight going thru the waivers.
