Perhaps a little vaseline, Mr. Millen?

Nope, give it to him straight. He's an old tough guy with a big mouth. Every single time the Lions screw it up, means more years before they field a competitive team.... and thats more than OK with me...

And the Ford family absolutely loves Millen, go figure.

Offensively, hiring Martz was a smart move for Detroit, but otherwise as a team they aren't going anywhere.

Then again, we may not this year, either

Ok, whatever. I guess I just didn't expect the "feminine" side of TT to come out on cut day....

Obviously, he's not trying to use his popularity to find a wife...

Well, barring some miracles we probably won't, but at least we won't have massive cap issues to contend with for the forseeable future.

The Lions have our problems, plus the cap problem, plus the fact that they're from Michigan.... Too many issues, you know?

regardless, i'd like to see them bring in a WR that could challenge Ferguson for the #3 slot, whoever that may be...

                      Hey, I'm all for that...

Quincy Morgan (cut from the Patriots) wouldn't be a bad try either.

                      • I will be extremely pissed but not the least bit suprised to see the Eagles get Davenport. He's exactly what they're looking for. Damnit, he could do well there. We'll see, but that's where my money is at on his final destination.

Maybe he'll be reunited with Shermy in Houston.

                          • Back to Davenport.....Thompson is quoted as saying that there was some trade interest in Davenport from other teams, but not enough to pull off a deal.

I don't get it. Why not get something rather than nothing? TT loves the NFL draft so why not get some draft picks or project player for the Scout team.

Davenport did have value. He could have been in Miami last season and possibly could have traded to Houston this week given their RB situation. It seems that we could have got something for him rather than just letting him walk.

Yup, a 7th rounder is better than nothing. Not too astute there on this one, TT.

Oh come on. If Davenport had any trade value, Thompson would have gotten it. The "interest" obviously never materialized.
