You got that right!!! Go Pack!
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

    • Sounds like the initial news on Rollins is good. I'm still not 100% sure what happened there. When they showed the replay I figured he had slammed his head into the turf and got concussed. Don't know how it ended up being a neck injury.

Probably numbness or stinger/tingling plus possible concussion. If his neck is involved, then things might go sideways.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

considering what he has to work with he's been good... except for the blitzing. we're too hurt and inexperienced to do that right now.

Considering he plays for the Packers and our history of neck injuries, I would say his career is probably over.

Which would be terrible. Randall is doing his best Davante Adams sophomore year impersonation, and Rollins has been the ascending one.

              • No, I doubt it was concussion. I think he sprained his neck or got a whole-body funnybone effect from the way it twisted. Hopefully there's no bruising and it's not a long-term issue. (This is what ended Finley's career, IIRC)

I didn't see Rollins ascending. He kept getting beat like a rug.

                  • I think Rollins is best suited to play slot. The combination of injuries and inconsistent play of Randall has forced him to play outside where he is vulnerable. Randall needs to improve his consistency. I think a 1st round pick at CB is a real possibility.

                    • randal is NOT 100%. hasn't been most of the season. the whole d backfield has been hurt/depleted most of the season. not to mention lbs and d-line missing games due to injury or suspension. tt, or the next gm, needs to get involved in FA this off-season. the db group needs to be addressed but not at the expense of a real weapon for Rodgers. i think those areas can be taken care of through both avenues.

What I saw on the replay is that the back of his head bounced off the turf, which looked like a very typical concussion. His neck wasn't twisted, or bent to side, or compressed. But of course you only play doctor so much watching a replay. It still could be something horrible, and maybe I missed something with my xray vision.

                        • If Kentrell Brice can fill in, perhaps they can keep using Burnett in coverage, depending on what happens with Rollins in the immediate future.

What I saw on TV reminded me of trampoline injuries whereby the trampoliner's body weight comes down with full force on his neck vertebra. I suffered such a mishap in my youth when trampoline parks were more popular than miniature golf. Fortunately, I recovered fully, that is until the arthritis set in in the early '90's.

That said, Rollins will shake it off and start Sunday.

He will be lucky to be the 3rd WR taken in the draft.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.
