One hurt and fumbly, the second suspended for doping it up, I believe. You know that, Redrick. Are you waxing metaphorical regarding Ted's drafting prowess in his late tenure?"The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

i think in the TT days, all or most of the players from last years draft would still be on the team, whether they deserve to be there or notOriginally posted by Joemailman View PostThis is pretty incredible:

Hopefully the adage "Change is good" proves to be true.
i bitched about this for years. people would say TT is great because all his draft picks always make the team. my argument was that he kept them on the team, not because they were any good, but because he drafted them
now we already have 5 out of 10 draft picks from last year gone. 2015 draft class is almost completely gone
what we need to see, is if gutey is willing to cut his own draft picks, or is he just willing to cut someone elses. we do know, that he has no problem building through all means available to him

Korey Toomer? Like that? He's played for half-a-dozen teams.
Wait, what's that sound?
Oh, it's the sound of the scraping of the bottom of the barrel.
But I take your point. The 2015 draft class was awful."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

I'm not so sure. Most of the change is at the bottom end of the roster. Only 3 departures from last year were starters. Nelson, Burnett and Randall. I don't see any of those leaving gaping holes to fill.Originally posted by hoosier View PostThis is feeling like a reload year in which Packers will be fortunate to finish 10-6 and get a WC berth.I can't run no more with that lawless crowd

Size/speed prospect. Questionable instincts. Might be able to return punts.Originally posted by pbmax View PostPackers at 52 now.

As @clarencehilljr said: The Packers are signing RB Darius Jackson to their roster, a source confirmed. Jackson was on the Cowboys practice squad after getting released on Saturday.
RB DARIUS JACKSON EASTERN MICHIGAN MID-AMERICAN
DRAFTED BY: COWBOYS ROUND6 PICK41 OVERALL216
GRADE 4.9
DRAFT ANALYSIS:
Jackson is an exceptional athlete with marginal football instincts. He likely won't get many chances to run behind Dallas' offensive line in camp so his special teams play will need to impress early. --Mark Dulgerian
6'0" HEIGHT
221LBS. WEIGHT
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS Showed off a rare combination of size, speed and explosiveness at his pro day. Posted a sub-4.4 40-yard dash with a vertical leap of 41 inches and a broad jump of 11-foot-1. Long-strider with ability to cut strides when needed for short area change of balance and cuts. Has build*up speed to turn the corner and go when play flows wide. Has size to slip through arm tackles. Productive pass catcher. Can make variety of adjustments to secure poor throws. Has punt coverage background.
WEAKNESSES Upright runner with high pad level through the holes. Slows himself and braces for contact rather than finishing carries with authority. Not as competitive a runner as he needs to be. Too many short runs or losses against soft boxes. Will duck head into hole and short-*circuit vision for necessary cuts. Cuts lack suddenness and post-*cut burst. Dancer with a lack of decisiveness as a runner. Vision is well below average.
DRAFT PROJECTION Undrafted free agent
BOTTOM LINE The tape doesn't come close to matching the astounding pro day numbers that Jackson posted, but his combination of size and athletic traits could very well get him drafted. Jackson doesn’t have the vision or decisiveness to be a zone runner and appears to lack the physicality needed as downhill gap-*scheme back. While Jackson has the traits to compete on special teams, his tape looks like a practice squad player for now.

Depth issues at OL and loss of Jordy will hurt the passing game at least early in the season. Not clear if the replacement talent is enough, or the right kind of talent, to handle defenses that can get pressure with front four alone (Minn x2, Chi x2, LA). Lack of depth and injury histories at LB are scary. I'm expecting some bumps in the road.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostI'm not so sure. You think they're fishing for a 7th or something from the Pats for one of those WRs?Originally posted by pbmax View PostWhy do you keep 8 WR on your roster? Because they are waiting:
Mark Daniels @MarkDanielsPJ
Here's the Patriots 52-man roster. They have an open spot now and will have another when Izzo is IRd
Arif Hasan @ArifHasanNFL
Cordarrelle Patterson is one of three receivers. Also, one of those receivers is Phillip Dorsett--

Nah. Maybe, but that is just speculation.Originally posted by Guiness View PostYou think they're fishing for a 7th or something from the Pats for one of those WRs?
If I were to suspect Belichick of coveting a Packer WR, it'd be Cobb. Which would explain the Mike Lombardi stupidity.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Rewatched the first couple of drives of the Chefs game. SPRIGGS™ looks marginally better. M3 did not protect with a TE the whole game, just twice, which looked like normal alignment calls. No chipping. He looks serviceable, and I don't mean that in a dismissive way. I think the tools are there. He has decent feet and a good kick step and he fights.
But he needs reps. His guy blew up a stretch play when he was the backside cutoff. The DT he was cutting off was over the guard and he never got close. He needs to launch out of that stance to get an elbow into his legs. He didn't get there then just jogged after the guy.
He still needs to work on his anchor and needs to get his arms lower when he locks on. But the only two pressures I would give him were each survivable if another O lineman hadn't got beat. On one, Bulaga got beat inside and so Kizer couldn't move up and had to run away from SPRIGGS™ guy.
But as a 2nd round pick (and a trade up) its still slightly disappointing. He needs work and another offseason. If healthy he should get plenty of work as the #3 tackle with two beat up older guys in front of him. But I think I can see him doing it.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

More Spriggs. Two bad run blocks on Boyle's first drive. Was pretty solid in pass pro and had two pancakes, one from a straight one on one win and another from a chip done right on a DT. Had one bad read on TD play where they were in a Bear front and Spriggs looked outside at a back who did not rush. Guard and center slid right. Left the DT all alone who was too slow to get to Boyle before the pass to Tonyan.
As I said, he needs work, but I think he can do it.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I’m telling ya, Fritz, I was once a racist, a la Tony ODay. Then I started watching mixed-race porn. At one point in that endeavor, it became clear to me that relations between humans are pretty much just that...between humans. Thus, I ain’t a racist no more.Originally posted by Fritz View PostCome to think of it, I believe I watched a woman named Ha Ha on Pornhub last week, too.
However, I still can’t stand interspecial relations. Homo sapiens banging Neanderthals? Erectus? Shaking my head. No wonder us humans remain an inferior species compared to what’s out there in the vast, lonely universe. We, to paraphrase Zool, allowed the dumb gene into our genes by fucking dumb species.
