but the pre season after we won the super bowl, i was at practice and in the VIP area (because i'm very important), next to me was a game clock/shot clock, set at 2.5 seconds. the goal was for a-rod to get the ball out of his hands before the horn went off. the clock started at the snap

for some reason, the idea was flushed down the shitter years ago

When they went into that funk, no one was winning one on one, not Cobb, Nelson or Jones. So they ran a lot of the ARod extended offense. Its taken forever for McCarthy to expand the playbook and get guys open. I am still not convinced he's totally bought in. But I do like the slant, the flat/slant and the crossing routes. Plus the occasional bunch.
