Sloughed off at the end? Of regulation or overtime? Vikings had timeouts and plenty of time so how were we trying to bleed clock exactly, preventing them scoring was the number one objective. Cousins had his way with the defense. Period. We still got robbed though.Originally posted by pbmax View PostI am not maintaining he wasn't good. He was. Forget the weird end and missed FGs and calls, he has a 300 yard game.
But the Packers sloughed off coverage at the end to encourage short throws and bleed clock. That gave him an easier path to 400.

I think you're almost going to have to go to replay on some sacks (and we all want more replay right? GAG). I think the ref that threw the flag thought Clay drove him based on the angle he had looking at it. But clearly he was trying to cushion blow with other hand in ground. Clearly no intent there to drive QB in to ground and you can't decide a game with a call like that. You just can't.Originally posted by oldbutnotdeadyet View PostYeah, lots of chances to win, but the mathews call was pure bullshit. I mean, if that is really a foul, there will be 0 sacks in the NFL for the rest of the year. Crosby making the 1st FG and missing the 2nd was just bad luck/timing. Maybe some good will come of this and the NFL will clarify the new rule so the refs get some help.
NFL wants to over regulate? Then let's go ahead and really do it. Every QB sack is an automatic review before next snap can occur.
Whee!!!!

They were playing a lot of off coverage in the 4th. I doubt they do the same against the Vikes again because Thielen and Rudolph and Cousins were too adept at running and completing 7 yard outs on the backside.Originally posted by yetisnowman View PostSloughed off at the end? I think it started on the Vikings drive, before the INT, when the lead was 5.
Again, I am not saying they didn't earn it, but the Packers changed the coverage.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Listened to the game driving home from MN. Got to watch the 2nd quarter ina bar having lunch.
Hard to beat a good team like the Vikings when you have to beat the refs also. But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Although it's also easier when the opponent kicker misses three FGs in a tie game....Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostListened to the game driving home from MN. Got to watch the 2nd quarter ina bar having lunch.

Well... the last 2 should not have even been taken if the refs don’t fuck up. And the first one if he made it makes it a 5 point win instead of 8 points.Originally posted by Rastak View PostAlthough it's also easier when the opponent kicker misses three FGs in a tie game....But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Seriously, what are the odds he's there by the bye week?Originally posted by Rastak View PostOnly takes one to win.
Not sure if this guy survives on the roster next week.
Zimmer specifically mentioned the Packers and Crosby when Walsh messed up, but when his struggles continued the next year, he was gone.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
