Do you realize how fucking insane this is? That's exactly the time you have to call it. Jesus Christ, isn't that the most critical part of the game? It's forth down, it's ok to grab the guy who has you beat, it won't be called. That's utter bullshit.

Rand and Bretsky used to referee HS football games in Ohio and Texas. They just wanted to escape with their hides intact.

I reffed mostly basketball in Minnesota. And some chick fights in Chicago.

Might have played softer after King left with an injury. Much of the defense looked gassed in the 4th quarter and OT. Daniels, Clark and Wilkerson all played a lot of snaps on a warm day. Maybe Mont Adams should have played more.

but it's idealistic and silly to think games are ref'd and officiated the same throughout every second of the game regardless of situation.

Do you ever notice him when he's in the game ? Serious question; maybe I'm missing something. He never seems to make plays; last year he was in street clothes earning a good paycheck. He looks the part; doesn't seem to play it

Maybe he's not noticed because teams aren't throwing at him. I think he's very good. But he has to find a way to stay healthy.

Were it called on the Vikings in the same situation I would have said the same thing.

King is OK; in a redo I still think it would be an easy call to take Watt but he's alright when not hurt
