Should the Packers deal for Amari Cooper or Karl Joseph?

He's also lost what explosiveness he had. Saw him compared to Roy Williams.Originally posted by mraynrand View Postjust wait 'til he starts dropping everything. If he does, because that's his MO....
The Raiders sent Amari Cooper—who has averaged less than 50 yards a game since the start of the 2017 season—to Dallas for the Cowboys’ first-round pick, which, assuming they do not improve drastically, will be a fairly good one since the Cowboys are one of 14 teams currently under .500. Cooper’s yards per route run has declined three straight seasons and he hasn’t cracked the top 30 in his career in that metric. This season he’s 62nd among receivers.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

This deal may help them win the NFC East, but putting them near the top of the NFL? That's laughable.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostAssuming Cooper is not damaged goods, and I'm pretty sure he is not, this trade is good for Dallas. I would not have wanted to see the Packers make a similar trade, because our needs are not similar. But for Dallas, this could lift them to near the top of the NFL.All hail the Ruler of the Meadow!

Cooper at age 24 and without serious injury in his career has "lost explosiveness"? Come On!
"win the NFC East but not be near the top of the NFL"? Last year's champ of the East won the Super Bowl - with a back up QB no less.
My problem with this trade from a Cowboy perspective is that Cooper is only under contract through this season (I think that is true). He is in effect a hired gun, so if the Cowboys don't perk up and go deep into the playoffs, the trade is kinda a waste. If Jerry and Stephen Jones think this deal is a positive thing, though, I wouldn't argue with them. Their GMship is a helluva lot better over recent years than a lot of other GMs including our own. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

The Cowboys not only traded for Amari Cooper, but they kept the Eagles from trading for Amari Cooper.
The Eagles' reported offer for Amari Cooper wasn't enough to land the wideout but it certainly shows that they mean business at the trade deadline. By Dave Zangaro

I’m told the Eagles offered a second-round pick to the Raiders for Amari Cooper last week. Raiders held out for a 1. Got it today from Philly’s NFC East rival. Colts also had interest. @AroundTheNFL @nflnetwork

My grandson told me that talk radio in Dallas says the Giants are ready to be like Oakland and unload anybody not named Beckham or Barkley. Some all out fools in the Dallas area apparently would like to see the Cowboys replace Dak Prescott with that old puke, Eli Manning; Sheeeesh, they are as bad as some people in this forum hahahaha.
If the Giants are having a fire sale, though, I think they still have a couple of decent pass rushers that the Packers might be interested in.What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

He's too young be dismissed as done, but there were already questions about him at his best (first two seasons) and now he is performing worse.
Gruden definitely seems to be tanking, but Cooper was bad last year as well. I guess we will see.
Although, maybe not, he is going to Dallas.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

What's the max to give for Olivier Vernon? Might go as high as Packers #2 if he's available. Think Packers have the cap space, question of how effective he will be.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostMy grandson told me that talk radio in Dallas says the Giants are ready to be like Oakland and unload anybody not named Beckham or Barkley.
