Lot of truth to this in the past six weeksOriginally posted by Rastak View PostRodgers leads the league in staring guys down.....TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

My work here is done. Buh Bye fat MikeOriginally posted by bobblehead View PostSo I virtually never start the gameday thread. Too much responsibility. Add to it that I'm going to the game next week and its even more onerous.
That being said I am choosing this week to do it because the team is in complete disarray and Fat Mike needs to lose this one to get himself canned and secure a better pick for the team. This is probably a one week responsibility.
So first off, we will look great in the first half taking a 17-7 lead into the half. Probably will get a field goal in the second half, but give up a ST score, and a few blunders to allow the Cards to steal the game with a last second FG of their own after Stubby mismanages the clock.
23-20 Cardinals. Goodbye fat mike. Goodbye responsibility of starting the gameday thread. Like the bears in the playoffs I will be one and done. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

Playoff mode today? I suspect this bunch knows they were, for all intents and purposes, eliminated last week in MN. I laughed every time Moose said "Packers' playoff chances".Originally posted by Teamcheez1 View PostPacker are in playoff mode. In other words, they are not making the playoffs. Offense looks no better than any other week.

If you looked at the stuff that was needed it wasn't out of the question at all.

Are you talking about the hit to Rodgers' head by that Card defender from behind? I wonder how in the hell did they miss that.Originally posted by pbmax View PostEven before they told the refs to knock it off, it was clear the rule applied to front facing hits and not hits to the back. Just more dumb rule making.
I will admit though that the new catch rule has gone over better than expected. But I wonder of the QB hit thing took away some coverage. Parts of the catch rule still seem needlessly complex.

Yes, with a few tweaks and a new voice and attitude at HC this is a 10 win team. I never felt that way with those teams in the 70s and 80s. We were lucky to go .500 back then.Originally posted by beveaux1 View PostI still enjoy watching Packer football. I watched the Packers in the 70s and 80s and vividly remember those teams. This year's team is nothing like those teams.
This year's team is an underperforming, injury laden team that should win 10 games easily. The 70s and 80s teams seemed to always be underdogs with very little talent.
I still feel like we could go on a streak and win out, but that's becoming more and more unlikely.

McCarthy is goneSwede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

Yeah, his range is off. Its either too deep or too low.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostARod is definitely off. Every thing coming in low.
I think this started with the comeback from the clavicle injury last year. Had same problem in Carolina game. Arm strength wasn't the same and he over compensated with angle and arc.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
